something interesting I noticed this year is that there were two italians nominated or receiving awards (Annalisa , Mr Rain) and also Ana Mena who is not Italian but they know her for the 20 platinums in Italy I guess Italian music has always been a part of Spain and recently this trend has been coming back

This time is different, because the majors control everything. So you don't have so many covers as in the past or many one hit wonders, but we still have a lot of sharing because now there's internet. It's interesting to see, but I'm not sure it will be as big a thing as it once was

With regards to Lola Indigo's performance - she is known for her medlys, big staging and dance breaks in this awards show for the past 5 years, and she has influenced other Spanish artists to start doing the same. Prior to artists like Rosalia abd Lola, the LOS40s award show was boring, and noone made an effort in their performance. Lola didn't do a medley this year for the first time because she performed twice. She also closed the awards singing another of her songs with Manuel Turizo (100 cosas). Regarding the staging - she is very conceptual with her albums and her last album is called "The Dragon" (and she will release a part 2 of that album soon) and so the concept for that album and songs has been dragon themed, hence the performance.
