He actually wrote this song himself when he was 15 and is quire personal to him. I discovered Sheldon on The Voice Australia 2019 and they have STANED ever since. His voice is literally DIVINE and he said in the voice that his dream was to do Eurovision and I'm so proud of him!!!!!

I just randomly got to check out your reaction video. At first: You seem to be such a nice guy and I really like your honesty and personal reaction style. Definitely going to subscribe after writing this comment :) And to Sheldon Riley and his song „not the same“: I didn’t feel it at all until I googled the lyrics. After that, it made me cry every time I heard it. With this, understanding lyrics makes a tremendous difference in reception! Not sure, if it will win, since there are at least some people out there, who won’t google the lyrics, if they don’t understand him on the night. But I’m optimistic, that he will reach the final and the left side of the scoreboard :) Greetings from Germany!

As much as the overall quality of AusDecides this year was lower than usual, they still had some Eurovision-worthy entries to choose from. Voyager, Sheldon, & Jaguar are my picks. Personally would have loved Voyager to go because they f*cking killed it on stage, but can't deny the fact that Sheldon is a pretty complete package. Agree with you saying that this song can really touch the Eurovision audience and potentially do well. Just wish he could have done a "bigger" song that showed even more of his vocal range.

Australia had some very strong performances this year. Only 3 points behind the runners up, the Voyagers, had a really great performance too.
