Middelkauff clearly doesn't understand what Brady was talking about. The Bills wouldn't have needed the on-side kick if they had passed for the TD and hadn't burned their timeout with a run play. If the Bills had passed to score the TD, then they do a normal kick off and burn 3 timeouts while trying to get a 3 and out and get the ball back with 30-40 seconds left. This is what Brady was talking about. By using that one TO with that first run play (that failed), this meant they couldn't do this and now had to on-side kick it.

Lions made the same mistake in the NFC Championship. Campbell ran it on 3rd and goal and had to burn a timeout. If you end up falling, DO NOT call a timeout. Lining up to run another play takes 15-20 seconds off the clock. Burning a timeout is wasting 40.

Allen was one of the most inaccurate passers in the league year 1 and 2 and McDermott helped turned that around - Allen has been carried by a top 5 defense almost his entire career but somehow its everyone else's fault he can't do anything with it.

Exactly right. Take Josh away and put in almost any other QB not named Mahomes or Jackson and they are a below .500 team. This is McDermott best year and still the overall coaching is not great. Using the TO with 1:15 left cost Buffalo 40 seconds. The Rams go 3&out and punt to expire the game. Bills didn't need the onside kick until they used a TO. They had all 3 left. If they would've spread out and threw for the TD, they'd be able to stop the Rams and get the ball back with enough time to get in FG range.

Have to hand it to Stafford He’s a fiery tough smart accurate competitor, 16 years in NFL. I always thought of him as one of the best in the NFL… When he’s hot .. he’s another Allen and can beat anyone …and any defense He just had a more efficient game than Allen yesterday ..and just shy of perfect . As Joe Marino perfectly stated -- It took an exceptional performance from Matthew Stafford, Sean McVay, Puca Nacua, and Cooper Kupp, plus a blocked punt for a touchdown, for the Rams to win by two.

Kansas City wasn’t sniffing titles before Mahomes got there. Now they’ve played in 4 super bowls , won 3 and 7 AFC title games. They’ve had roster turnover on defense and offense yet they keep winning. Allen is an amazing talent, but calling him the best player in the league when he doesn’t win a percentage of what Mahomes has done (plus Mahomes has beaten him 3 times in the playoffs) it’s so fucking disrespectful. Plus Allen has been favored over Mahomes in many of those games so you can’t complain about Josh “not having the talent” 🙄. It’s just ridiculous

Sam is better in every measurable physically and was MUCH HIGHER rated out of college. He is war tested in the NFL. Is in the MVP discussion. And he’s only 27!! I’m a Vikes fan too. JJM can sit on the bench for a few years. No Gm or head coach lets Sam walk after this performance. And we have like $75m cap space. Hopefully Sam is not a Cousins and signs a reasonable deal like Mayfield signed last year.

Better in every measurable? Not. Even. Close. I watched J.J. play at Michigan. He was the best qb I saw play there. There were quite a few good ones in the last 54 yrs. He was the best. Darnold is a placeholder. That said, I really, really hope you sign Darnold to a 6 year 330 million contract. Trade J.J. to Nashville.
