Bryan has so many classic rock songs but this is one of his best! Just an incredible song off an iconic album RECKLESS. Yup, the other lover is his guitar. He is having a wild night with his electric twanger...lol.

In the video, John Hannah (not the New England Patriots player) on synthesizers. In the studio 🎙, Tommy Mandel on synthesizers. Jim Vallance on percussion. This song should have been a crossover hit, to be placed into country 🤠 music. Lynette Anthony is the UK 🇬🇧 actress in the music videos for the album Reckless. Blue Oyster Cult had a hit song, Don't Fear the Reaper. Run to You is based on that song. Jim Vallance presented the demo of Run to You, sung by Bryan Adams. The late Bruce Fairbairn played ▶️ it. Blue Oyster Cult rejected it. 🙄 Thus, Bryan Adams placed it in his album Reckless. Jim Vallance saw 👀 the SNL short on Blue Oyster Cult. In real life, Bruce Fairbairn was not the producer for that song. He came years later. Vallance figured that the band rejected Run to You because it does not have any cow 🐄 bell 🔔 ! L 🤣L Reckless was the bestselling album on Billboard in 1985. Number 2 was the Bruce Springsteen album Born in the USA 🇺🇸. Song was recorded in Little Mountain Sound Studios in Vancouver, Canada 🇨🇦. I was in that city 1 year earlier and a few years later. But, I never met any of them: we were in different districts!

As a Gen X'er, from northeast Ohio, I can tell you that his 1984 album "Reckless" was huge. But also, the lovely woman in the video is English actress Lysette Anthony, and she became one of Harvey Weinstein's victims. And sadly, she is now battling Parkinson's.

This video is part 3 of a trilogy...part 1 is 'Summer of 69'...part 2 is 'Heaven' [the official ALTERNATE video]...Lysette Anthony plays his former girlfriend, who loved and left him, a decision that they both came to regret. Run To You really only makes sense when you watch all three in their proper order. A lot of reacters always cover the live. acoustic version of 'Heaven'...I feel this is a mistake because they miss out on the intended narrative.

first I should say that a video should never try to display the song meaning (I know that almost every video does it. but it should't) music is for the ears and what does it make you feel. how it touches you. the video corrupts that. now, the implications of if his talking about the guitar are huge. the guitar representing music (there's no other way) that probably means that he prefers to be on tour than with the woman. he loves her and recognize her but yet he would run on tour. music his where his love lies. fun fact: the woman was on every video of the reckless album part of a video tape realese that also included this time from the previous album. there was a trying of making a story line with the videos.

I guess all the shots of his guitar and not a woman to be found went over their head. Also he says run to you.he doesn't mention she/her or woman's name. The woman is in the summer of 69 video and the follow up heaven.i winder if this video was before or after the other two? She is brit actress lysette Antony who after the lead in a successful sitcom called 3 up 2 down moved to the US.she played the princess in fantasy movie krull.
