Dimash had no issues with this show, The Singer in China. You can easily watch from episode one all the way through his performances. You might be thinking of the show The World's Best, which there were issues and we don't care to watch any of those videos due to the shortened songs and the way they treated Dimash. The Singer show in China was all in all, a very good experience for him.

This show (The Singer/I am a Singer China) is totally fine for you to react to. Dimash and the other contestants became really good friends actually. Even during the show they applaud and encourage each other, it's quite lovely to see the behind the scenes. They're all so loving. It's The World's Best (CBS) that you need to avoid, they butcher up the experience because they cut a lot of his performances out, not to mention the bad atmosphere and attitude from the judges :(. As for his middle range, I totally agree. But I guess since he's in a competition he had to impress the crowd. His newest songs nowadays showcase more of his lovely mid range. I think the worst thing about World's Best is that he was promised he would not compete against younger children, then he received so much backlash from the press for leaving the show after finding that he would, in fact, have to compete against kids if he continued. Shameful actions by CBS and the judges.

This show (The Singer or I am Singer) is FANTASTIC! After seeing D's version of SOS on this, I watched the entire season he was on (with English subtitles), and it's wonderful. It really made him famous in China, and because it's a well respected show, it opened up so many avenues for him. Perhaps you are thinking of the show The World's Best, which was a bad experience for Dimash, but this show is just wonderful. The singers (all except Dimash, who was considered the "wild card" contestant and was the only non-Chinese contestant), are all well-known, professional Chinese singers, and they are all fantastic in their own right(s). And you're right--they do seem to enjoy hearing Dimash singing, and are blown away by his abilities. One of the things I loved about the show is that it showed "behind the scenes" stuff, and they all had mad respect for one another, and the older, much more famous singers loved and supported Dimash (and of course, he is always insanely respectful towards everyone). They seemed to really enjoy one another's company, and I loved it. I would recommend any of his performances from this show (some people don't like the episode where he sang "Uptown Funk" because it didn't show his range, but it was still a lot of fun, and he seemed to be having a great time dancing around on the stage). I hope you continue to watch performances from this show (he has many other wonderful performances that he has recorded since, but some reactors like to watch the songs from this show before moving on to his more recent works. Anyway, thanks for the reaction, and IMO--as long as you avoid "The World's Best" (which is NOT the world's best lol), you should be good to go!

Dimash is a big huge fan of Freddie Mercury and also MJ and Pavarotti. Dimash has done several covers of Lara Fabian songs. She collaborated with the famous russian composer Igor Krutoy and after he had heard Dimash sing he dropped out of his future life as a retiree to partner with Dimash.

Good Reaction. I am late to comment, so someone may have told you. Dimash knew almost no English at this time. He had one week to learn the song, and it was taught to him phonetically. He always arranges his music to showcase his abilities - but in a respectful way. He feels the emotion of the music and applies his own take to everything he does.

On (at least) one of your previous videos, I suggested you react to Dimash doing Ogni Pietra (Olimpico) from the composer's channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpyzhGmqbZmknZY as well as Dimash's music video for Across Endless Dimensions. Both have vibes and moments I think you'll particularly like as a metal fan. In addition, I'd like to suggest you check out Dimash's cover of Adagio from I Am Singer. He goes ALL IN with the emotion on that one. I think he may have been trying to steal James Brown's "Hardest Working Man in Showbiz" crown. It's pretty spectacular. Gotta check out Know! It's my favorite song for him. He tends to sing it differently pretty much every time he sings live, so it'd be cool to see you react to more than one version. If you were doing one then his performance of Know at VTB Arena is great. If you decide to do a double reaction then his Know performance in Kiev is amazing as well. I am Singer was a wonderful experience for Dimash. It launched him on to the world stage. Every performer on that show was a professional singer already with good careers and fans, so they all support each other and love each other’s performances. It would be interesting to hear your comments on "KNOW" the vocalize, Arnau version. This is Dimash in mainly low and mid-voice. There are so many subtleties that Dimash brings to Igor Krutoy's masterpiece, no showman here, Dimash at his rawest.

The Singer (China) was so totally fine with Dimash - It brought him his fame. It's the American Show 'The World's Best' that you should avoid.

The World's Best is the show to avoid. He was lied to when he signed the contract. He does not want to compete against children, because in his culture children are uplifted. They said he would not have to, and then it turned out otherwise. He stepped back in the final to give the stage to the two children. The jury, amongst others, were so rude to him. It was shocking. Dears avoid this show like hell. All other performances and shows are absolutely OK.

Yes I saw that I was so hurt to see the judges talking to him like that. I started crying. He didn't deserve that.
