Song was written by Igor kutroy the guy playing piano. Dimash puts feelings into the song. Kutroy came out of retirement just to work with dimash. He first saw dimash perform in 2017 or 2018 when dimash performed sinful passion. They performed several songs together for several yrs . They continue to be close friends. Dimash is kazak and Igor is Russian. A millionaire composer.

I was so excited to see you react. It seems like such a long time since you've been reacting to the king of vocal ranges. Loved your facial expressions of awe.

Despite all the controversy and big production, Miley has always been an incredible singer. And it's no surprise considering Dolly Parton is her godmother

This song hit super close for me and provided me with a im not struggling alone or im not the only one who feels this way moment. Ive got someone very close to me in my life so i would never let myself end my own life but when things were really difficult and i was seriously lacking in hope i would think about getting myself into an accident just to make things pause. No payments due. No work, no assignments. I would get a break from everything weihging on me. So when he says i could pull the steering wheel it hit me hard. When he says peace will win and fear will loose it made me feel a little hope. The style, the way the style changes, the raw emotional surge of music, the video. Its all so awesome.

Mitch is a male soprano. That high F at the end blows my mind, some girls wish they could hit that note as clean.

This may be my favorite cover by Miley. If you don’t at least respect the talent she has after this performance then you just don’t have ears. She absolutely KILLED it.

Glee is this weird liminal space where it's simultaneously a serious melodrama about highschool & show choir - as well as a satirical show about overdramatic & narcissistic theater kids full of sarcasm and over the top plotlines. It's a lot of fun when you just kind of go with it and say "yep, this episode is all about britney spears hallucinations lol", or "yep, this episode's A plot is about a grilled cheesus that switches to a heart attack plot line halfway through". But that kind of thing isn't for everyone.

Agree with you there bud. Something about this song and him singing it that gets me. I think theres both a sense of sorrow that he conveys and also a fierce determination and a purpose - we must away, we ride before the break of day. It feels grounding and inspiring to hear those words sung by Geoff so beautifully

Now see what one of my previous vocal teachers explained to me is that if your vibrato is just showing out there, it means you're CHILL AF. It's a natural indicator that you're getting excellent air flow at that pitch, and you're not tense. Different skill for sure to hit a really clean note, but in this case I really think she's just fully settled into it. I think this interview may also be the one (but I may be misremembering) that she said the fires actually changed her voice, as she was not such a deep contralto in previous years. It's a silver lining, I guess? Kind of like how James had to destroy his voice and rebuild it like the 6 million dollar man to sound the way he does.

your description of exactly what he does is spot on. he incorporates the style and feel and presence of an artist or band, but it's always got the subtle difference that is Anthony. He's so much fun to watch.

I feel like many people think his songs are about romance, but they are actually, in many cases, about death. This one is about his grandma who passed away, and "Before You Go" is about his aunt who had depression and, in the end, ended herself... very sad lyrics.
