Reaction to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth State of Play. OMGGG CRYIN!

This was absolutely amazing. I CANT WAIT FOR THIS RELEASE!!
Square Enix invited me to L.A just recently to experience Final Fantasy VII Rebirth a bit early and we were allowed to play the first 2 chapters but I only finished chapter 1 because of me wanting to react and express emotions live on streams for when the game actually launches. I love Final Fantasy so much and I did vlog a bit while I was in L.A and I wish I could express more with you all about it but I cant and will wait. Again thank you Square Enix for the personal invite!

33:06 OK so I don’t know if you watched any of the other trailers, but in one of them cloud is zonked out in the background sitting in a chair across from the bed that Aerith is “sleeping” and Zach is standing over her… Pretty sure she has her hair down at that time. If not, you may be right about the vision thing if not a full-blown dream that cloud is experiencing That’s my thoughts - my brain is going nuts, but she did tell him in the remake that Zach was the guy. She loved so cloud does know that now and it is sweet to think that he would dream about them reuniting.

This is going to be crazy. Between the fact we might be dealing with 2 different timelines, will they change one of the biggest moments in FF7? Plus new additions like the return of Roche and of all people Greg, added to his legacy of Final Fantasy appearances. We also see the return of Cissnei, a character that never got enough screen time or backstory. Uematsu's music is on point as always and I can't wait for another 8+ disk soundtrack. I think my only complaint and I can't confirm is that Vincent and Cid are not playable...They won't even be "Guest" characters like Red was in Remake, they'll just be part of the story. I hope that isn't true that would be a massive let down for two of the most popular and strongest characters in the game.

I'm very interested to see what happens during "that one infamous moment" this time around. But I'd be VERY surprised if Vincent and Cid aren't playable in part 3. They'd have a hard time justifying that.

24:43same Yuna i started my journey w Zack. when i was 5, 1997 i played original ff7 but didnt like the gameplay so i dont know the story. My 1st ff7 was Advent Children (then i started loving ff7 bc of that movie) ff7 was Crisis Core my 1st game n when i saw Zack died not gonna lie i cried. beat it 2008 i was 16😂 now we finally get to see Zack going back to midgar for Aris❤

They’ve talked about “when worlds collide”. My theory is that sephiroth in remake wants to change the written future. Which he knows he gets killed and meteor is stopped. Therefore he knows holy gets summoned and how. I think he kills aerith in the timeline we all know. He then tries to visit aerith in the alternate timeline to kill her there. This is the timeline she gives cloud the white materia so he can then cast holy in the rewritten timeline to stop meteor.

My thing from this whole trailer...at the very end where cloud screams no!!! And if you noticed the sword clash. I believe that's the 7 seconds to save aerith from death. But who knows 🤷‍♂️

I dont know why, but the scene with Dyne breaks me every time. Side note, Aerith never gave us the White Materia in the OG. It dropped from her in that event, and fell into the water and was lost. But She had been able to finish casting it. This installment seems to challenge whether the event will occur, which is going to make following both the nostalgic moments and the newly created moments all the more exciting.

(Spoilers for OG ff7 but i try to keep it as vague as possible)...I think this all but confirmed that whomever cloud gets closest with between tifa n aerith will decide what happens in "that" plot point we all ( anyone who knows the OG story) know is gonna come to pass..I think it's just gonna be a matter of who exactly will be the one to..... u know. I think the gold saucer dates will play a big role in what does or does not happen, and who it does or does not happen to!! I also think there will be a way to make sure nothing at all happens in "that" moment if we choose all the right narrative paths but will also likely be hard to get without reading a spoiler walkthrough beforehand.. obviously out of everything that can or cannot possibly happen, only one narrative path will be the intended "canon route" as far as the "true" story is concerned.. this trailer all but shows us that cloud actually sees it coming by the last 3 seconds of this trailers ends.. in og cloud just kinda stands there and dosent have time to react to what is happening, but it looks like cloud actually attempts to deflect sephiroths downward thrust (or maybe that's just one possible outcome)..

Fun as it may be, it doesn't seem tenable to make "that" scene - however it plays out this time - something maleable by player choices. There's a whole other game ahead and multiple outcomes would require multiple ways to start the next game. But this does appear to show Cloud trying to block Seph's sword this time. Anything that happens in the games is "canon". All the OG dates are, all the highwind scenes, all the resolution scenes in Remake, etc. None of the choice-based scenes matter to the ultimate outcome, but "that" scene does. I fear this one ends as a cliffhanger. If we know that outcome now, it takes a lot of momentum out of interest in the last game.

@@dalegleneagles5072 I would have thought the same thing till I saw how ambitious the game was at state of play... it would be hard to do branching paths into the 3rd game, but theres a way it can be done if it's just tifa and aerith that are "expendable", and if they write the story in a way where Tifa n aertiths character arcs are interchangeable in the 3rd game... they would have to make the cutscenes interchangeable and tge voice actors would have to record 2 narratives, but if they plan it in a way where their arcs can serve the same end goal, even if getting there is slightly different depending on who is involved.. (for example tifa would be able to commune with the elders and do all the mystical shit aerith is capable of, however they can easily get around that by having aerith "guide" thr crew even if she isn't there physically..its also a way in still involve her character no matter what ends up happening...I wouldn't consider any of this even possible (for most devs n studios) Until I saw how devoted and ambitious this team was with rebirths creation!..

But there's no way Aerith and Tifa are interchangeable and/or they would build the third game with two possible entire storylines. How would that even start? Pick a path at the opening?You could have either live or die and tell a third installment, but not two versions of the same story for 100 hrs. As a storywriter, I don't see why you would bother if it's the same story. And if they're different, then it's really two different games. I could see alternate endings for the third game, yes (because it's the last). Ultimately it's not a question of ambition, it just doesn't make sense. As something of a parallel, I think you'll find that they'll have the two existing worlds converge in the end.
