This song is SO good. You should check out Skindred “Rat Race” for reggae mixed with metal-fronted by a black man who is phenomenally talented and one of the best performers I’ve seen.

The guy on killswitch engage is Howard Jones. he actually left the band due to mental health issues and started up his own band called Light the Torch, which is fantastic. Other African American guys in metal include Lajon Witherspoon with Sevendust, Rasheed Thomas the rhythm guitarist for Nonpoint, Skindred's Benji Webbe is a Jamaican immigrant to Britain who does 'Reggae Punk' as they call it, and Hyro the Hero is a pure rapper who raps to a heavy metal/Hard Rock sound. I'd be able to recommend songs from all of these groups on request. Edit: P.O.D. is who I was forgetting and they're fantastic, with Traa Daniels at Bass Guitar.

Back in the day we had Living Colour who are still going and Fishbone who I think are still going. Also don't forget the females. Check out Skunk Anansie. Skin is brilliant as a front woman.

Their last 2 records have plenty of bangers, some are more on the heavier/rock side & some lean more towards the rap/electronic vibes. 1 track in particular "They Don't Like it" (features guest vocals with Sonny Sandoval of the band P.O.D) heavily utilizes that reggae-ish vocal quality that he brings in the middle section of this track a little.
