Don't you just love how J. None is rocking the crazy eyes in this? I don't know that anyone could have pulled off this character any better. These guys always do such amazing productions, both vocally and visually. Goes to show what a group of exceptional artists and generous Patrons can create, without the interference of any record industry garbage.

If you are a big Disney fan, at 54 seconds in, J holds the traditional sacrificial chicken and it is HeiHei from Moana! 🤣 (I didn't notice it until another viewer pointed it out. Also Aladdin's lamp is on the chair behind Eli in one scene. ) It is all those little details that makes it so enjoyable to watch over and over. Not only are they immensely talented, they take so much trouble to put in layer after layer in all their productions.

One of the things I love about this cover is how... tightly they follow the choreography of the original scene. Like, JNone does the little leg dance thing that Facilier does early on, toward the end, there's the swaying the head from side to side, and the way that it fades to black with the purple eyes... they put _so_ much work into this one, and it is amazing.

I was so happy that they were able to collab with J for this! He had his first leave from the navy last month and went from Virginia to Orlando to film this with them. They did so great! It was so much fun. I love this song so much. Honestly, the whole Princess and the Frog movie is underrated imo. Really late commenting, but so neat to hear Eli's 'jazzy' voice - tho' I do love his Rock Tenor. He was amazing when Faciler 'sang' through him after the magic dust. Of course J None was spectacular, but we've heard him a little like this before, whhe sang a snatch of the song in one of the ACA 10's. So not surprised he owned it here. But I've not heard this style from Eli. It is possible he has done it before and I've not found it yet. I've only been listening to VoicePlay since this past September and their website is difficult to find older songs if you don't know the title for a search.
