So if you go back a ways in episodes, I can’t remember the guys name, but he was the medical advisor and editor in chief for CNN, and he allowed a story to run that he knew was 100% false and misrepresenting something that was said dealing with the pandemic. it bugged the shit out of Joe. i guess my point was he sat there and tried to squirm out of a question Rogan wouldn’t let go about them knowingly and deliberately lying on tv, and how big of a problem it actually is. I think he assumes he would be doing something similar by giving trump a giant audience to share idea Rogan doesn’t necessarily agree with. It’s his show, i’m a huge rogan fan, he can interview or not interview anyone he wants, but this game we are playing where 2 sides of an argument assume the other is malicious if the views aren’t identical is a dangerous road to head down

It's the reason why he didnt go to the White House to interview Trump, because they'd be able to dictate what questions he could ask and get a list of the questions beforehand. Joe wants 2-3 hours with Trump unfiltered where he could intellectually corner him with no prepared remarks from Trump

This is the correct position but Joe said he doesn’t want to help or platform Trump. That is the left’s language but Joe did platform and help Sanders. Joe’s influence comes from putting on those under the authoritarian censorship. Trump might be the most censored figure by that machine right now: he is siloed and marginalized. I know this because my family are Democrats and they don’t engage with his policies or know them because that is the media’s job to obfuscate. To get around the filters and propaganda you need a Joe Rogan. I’m in that boat myself. I always don’t like Trump but when I hear from him directly and his reasoning it’s very different than the characterizations. I intentionally listen to my Democratic parent’s reasoning for the same reason. You need to hear genuine beliefs and reasons for those beliefs to see where they go wrong or right and to make your own judgment. Everyone needs to do this; it’s basic work to be informed and do your duty as a citizen.

The level of hypocrisy in the comments and this clip is insane. 1) Joe stated he refused Trump specifically because he wouldn’t have an open conversation and it would be a scripted interview, hence he doesn’t want to just support trumps talking points by not being able to challenge him 2) being an influencer doesn’t all of the sudden give you journalistic integrity. If that were true this podcast would have done its due diligence before having this discussion…let alone uploading the clip Imagine lambasting and accusing someone of doing the things you’re currently doin, all because of lack of due diligence responsibility. Literal epitome of hypocrisy.

Ignorant and arrogant are a nasty combination. ---- as for Joe Rogan ---- the idea that he would not interview the most interesting man of the last 10 years is a total betrayal. He has said many times that he would interview anyone and giving someone a platform isn’t supporting them. Everyone should be pushing for a 3 hour conversation with Joe Rogan and Donald Trump regardless of what side you're on. If you are on the left and believe Trump is what they say he is, Rogan will bring that out for the whole world to see and vice versa. Joe Rogan has an amazing ability to talk to people long enough for them to let their guard down and show their true colors. Everybody wins unless you're afraid to know the truth. I am apolitical however, in my general observation I have never personally seen or heard of anyone who leans to the right that wanted to cancel Joe Rogan because he interviewed Bernie Sanders (and openly endorsed him). I cannot say the same from people I personally know on the left concerning a potential Trump/Rogan interview. Joe Rogan is clearly more affected by the mainstream then he lets on. I understand the guest's comment about Rogan being in a silo. It might be a big silo with a lot of wiggle room, but it's still a silo!

Bernie would never be allowed to have the nomination. If so, he probably should have gotten it in '16. I do agree with you that it would be a cool show to watch, but it could easily get really nasty really quick. As soon as the election came up, Joe, and naturally so, would have to start thinking of the aftermath publicly and Trump would just keep on. Those two personalities would clash. Now Joe has probably pissed off half of his base. I believe this is just Joe avoiding something potentially nasty.

Joe also said when Trump begged to come on his podcast it had to be on Trump's terms. He wanted approval over what was discussed, wanted it to take place at Marlargo and didnt want to do the normal 2-3 hr conversation. So Joe was never going to agree to that. Joe also has said except for rare occasions, he refuses all Politicians. I think he's had maybe 5-10 on out of the almost 2000 podcasts he has done, and has also turned down a Biden appearance in 2020. Apparently, just about every Dem who ran in 2020 primaries begged to be on his show and im sure lots of GOP politicians would like to tap that audience.

Well let's see here he has had Tulsi Gabbard, Bernie Sanders, Cornel West and Andrew Yang on his podcast. 3 of the 4 I just said we're running at the time of there appearance on his show. The problem with Joe is he is inconsistent with his opinions and rules for his beliefs. This guy talks a good game about being far and unbiased but he's not at all. He has had Lawrence Krause and Neil Tyson Degrasse both on his podcast and both were intangled in controversy with Jeffery Epstein. Now how can you say that you are trying to have none decisive guests on when Alex Jones his really good friend has the downlow on Jeffery Epstein and his cohort and conspirators and 2 of his guest were present on the fucking island and he asks not one question about there involvement with Epstein. Joe as much as I like his podcast his beliefs are ever waving. I have been watching him since the beginning when he was hosting in his house and he has changed unfortunately for the worst. I have watched him bring on a guest that's conservative and heard him bash the left then the next week have a liberal guest on and hear him bash the guest that he just had on to the liberal. Cornel West is a self described Democratic Socialist even though that's a oxymoron statement. The same is true with Bernie Sanders now how can he have all of these hard left political guests with the exception of Tulsi she is very center on his podcast and not give the othere side the opertunity to voice and hear them out. Oh and by the way Dan Crenshaw was not running he was already elected when he was on and he wasn't running for the presidency.

@@jordanhamilton50 Sounds like you should stick to echo chamber far-right podcasts. Just cause Rogan allows differing viewpoints doesn't make him some secret far left wacko protagonist. @jordanhamilton50
@jordanhamilton50 2 жыл бұрын
@@mgers75 First off I'm not in an echo chamber that's your assumption. He has stated that Trump was unjustly demonized by the left and the media in his podcast many times. But once again that's the tune he sings when he is in the presence of a more conservative guest. My problem is he is like the media in the sense that he doesn't think people remember what he said on the podcast before. It's his prerogative to have on his podcast who he pleases but don't say you are open minded and subjective if you are more afraid of the backlash you will face than the possibility you may have read a person wrong. I'm still his fan but I feel like he is not being honest with his true intentions of not having him on, if he really believes that he would be endorsing or helping Trump get elected he's smoking crack Trump doesn't need his support. Lastly, no one on the conservative side wants him canceled but we do want him to stop trying to be on both sides of the fence, what I mean is his idealogy is very apparent when he speaks on where his political stance which I guarantee that is also how he voted. Now here he moved from the bluest states to one of the reddest states and he still holds a lot of the same beliefs that is insane. He can see the failed policies of the left in his former state and the white house yet he still refuses to call it what it is.

@@mgers75 You're 100% correct. Joe is left leaning for sure, but also also has some right leaning ideas (for example guns, and the vaccine). The thing is, with Trump pushing the Republican party so far right, anything even slightly left is seen as far left. Its funny how people battle one extreme, with another extreme. Joe has made it clear 100 times that he is NOT a journalist, doesn't try to be one, doesn't want to be involved with the most sensitive political issues etc He said that he is simply a guy who will talk to people he finds interesting. He has been fair about finding people interesting from both ends of political spectrums BUT he has the right to say that he doesn't like either candidate and he has by far the biggest platform, so he would ONLY help Trump and never would Trump supporters change their mind because of the podcast. So it's a one sided benefit without Joes interest in the conversation and person, and without the ability to appeal to reasonable people and would be automatic support for Trump. I personally like Trump, but I have followed Joe for decades and know his honest intentions, why he began the podcast which didn't make money for yrs, and why he is doing it to this day. He is the type to never be forced to put anyone on the show and him having to do it because others think he should. Actually it's way more likely that Joe might have changed his mind BUT now that people criticize him for doing what he chooses, they eliminated any chance of Joe ever having that podcast. Joe won't do it especially because it would now look like others are able to control him and with little effort make him do things that he doesn't want to. Regardless of the subject, that principal is now a guarantee that Joe won't ever consider that.

As cringe as Adam is at times, his explanation makes most sense to me since this news came out. In addition, I also agree with Rick too though. The weird part is I've heard Joe say a couple times, with different guests on his podcast, that he would interview Trump, as well as be a 'moderator' (debate style) on his podcast with Trump vs whomever. Thus, what Adam is saying makes sense, but Rick has a valid point too (in this exchange). To me, no matter the context of what he said, Joe kind of compromised himself and his "core values" of what his show has become known for. Even Larry King interviewed Trump. 😬

Trump is a narcissist. A spoiled brat who has to always get his way or will throw tantrum. He feels privileged and entitled. That's how he grew up. Never struggled . He wants to be constantly worshipped and get credit for everything. Most experts in psychology view him as a narcissist. Narcissist don't care for anyone , and are extremely selfish. He only cares about his image. This no good narcissist didn't want to concede after he lost the election. People should be outraged. He wanted to overthrow our democracy. I'm not. a Biden fan. But Trump is extremely dangerous. He even removed the Clean air act, for the benefit of elite corporations . Tons of toxins released into our food , air and water. Don the con man Trump.

What Joe Rogan said was one of the worst comments he’s ever made considering the platform that he has created. If you are to believe his stance that he is open minded about everything and will have a conversation with anyone and tell me how it is that anyone can defend him going out and publicly stating that he would never have him on his show. It is not the first time that I have found Joe Rogan to be offputting and I am sick of people defending him for that. I don’t think that Joe is a bad guy nor do I want to condemn him as someone that people shouldn’t listen to because he has a lot of very interesting people and interesting conversations on his show however The bigger he’s got the more he’s bowed to public pressure and tried to keep himself out of any type of controversy. What Joe Rogan said is wrong and if he really feels that way he should’ve just kept it to himself. I have seen enough now to know that Joe Rogan is not deserving of the pedestal he’s been put on

Its Joe's show. It's his choice who he does have or not have on HIS show. The left doesn't own him and the right doesn't own him. People have to get out of their political fee fee's (feelings).

That is true but it undermines the podcast as others have said in the stance of it being "just about discussions". Heck I would love for more political figures to be grilled for 3 hours.

Question. If Joe takes a poll of his followers, and the overwhelming majority want him to have President Trump on. Should he listen to the people that made his podcast what it is today? Or ignore them? Personally, I don't think the argument that he's no a journalist, it's his podcast, he can have who wants, etc etc, is no longer the case to be made. He didn't get a 100 million dollar contract solely because he's not a journalist or because he can choose who he wants to be on. When you get down to brass taxes, it's because he has like 10 million followers! If I had to guess, most of his followers are dying for a President Trump appearance on the podcast, where they know Joe would question him on many thing he has said and done or been accused of. I gather that Joe won't do it because he is afraid that the podcast would help him, if he defends himself well, and explains his perspective and enlightens the listeners to what normal media outlets will not allow to be heard. So if that indeed is the case, I'm disappointed in Joe. I always took his podcast for a place where different voices could be heard and questioned intellectually, some controversial, some mainstream. As a result of his decision, I'll be unsubscribing!

Honestly, publically saying he doesnt want to host Trump then having his own audience overwhelmingly poll in favor of hosting Trump sounds like a great way to have him on the show.

Dude if your going to criticize him at least look up why he said no to trump. You make a lot of assumptions because you’re to lazy to look up why he said no. You sound like an ass. Trump wanted to run the interview and only wanted certain questions. He also wanted Joe to go Mar-a-lago and for it to be a short interview. Joe wanted to have a long discussion like his normal format but trump refused so Joe said no. He’s not going to have trump on if he can’t have an authentic conversation with him.
