Je t'aime means "I love you" in French, and the audience sang to her "on t'aime" which means "we love you". It was pre-planned by her audience and her pianist as a way to express their love and support for her. I tear up every time I watch this... to see how moved she was by it. No diva attitude, just utter appreciation. Pure class.

Dear Lady Luck, I'm a 74 year old and I have two idols in life, Lara Fabian and 4th Impact. I can say that you have been spoiling me for some time with your 4th Impact reactions and now you have just set foot in the world of Lara Fabian. You haven't finished being amazed with HIS ORIGINAL SONGS. ADAGIO LIVE, BROKEN VOW, LOVE BY GRACES, YOU'RE NOT FROM HERE are all songs that will blow you away. Lol this is indeed iconic, it even made TV headlines news in France the day after. More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 4 languages fluently (french, italian, english, spanish) and has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks. She often co-composes the music with the composer. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia). She was raised in both countries so she speaks both french and italian as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace" used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera topped the charts for months. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban, … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. He covered many of her songs (that she performed originally ; she also wrote some of these). And she covered « Love is like a dream » before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva) They also performed Ti Amo Cosi together with Aida Garafulina. This is a song that she performed originally with Dmitriy Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy who came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him. She was one of Dimash's inspirations growing up, and congratulated him when he performed "Adagio" (which she wrote the lyrics to) on Singer 2017. Another connection is that Igor Krutoy wrote the music to her 2010 album Mademoiselle Zhivago. I think she was his inspiration for holding notes for a very long time, which they all did on "Ti Amo Cosi".

Lara Fabian was the first to sing: Vocalise, Mademoiselle Hyde, Adagio was her creation, she put the words but the melody was created manny years ago by an italian composer. You should hear her sing Adagio in her live concert named " From Lara with love" manny years ago❤❤❤ In my country Romania she had a concert and the crowd started to sing also like this and every one in the crowd hold in they re hands banner that said " We love you Lara" ,was amazing...i don t rember the year,was manny years ago and she only sings live in her concerts just like Dimash❤ She is more amazing live then recordet ❤ She was in my country two times just like Michael Jackson and we all keep that in mind and treasure those concerts and years, the concerts are on you tube, also M.j concerts performed here in Romania, amazing singers❤❤❤ just like Dimash❤❤❤

👉Je t'aime means: "I love you" and the audience sings: We love you. I think that every artist can only wish for fans who stand by you and take an interest when you go through a dark time. As far as I know she had personal problems and she had just found out that Celin Dion had prevented her career in the USA. Her fans made an agreement with the pianist and sang the song for Lara. I think at that moment she felt that the USA is not the hub of the world and that she will have a great career like that.

I'm kind of sorry you chose this specific video. There is one out there that has the French and English subtitles which shows them for the audience's "on t'aime" as well as Lara's "je t'aime". It also subs Lara's spoken reaction before she starts singing with them, "you caught me off guard" (or something like that). Anyway, as you delve deeper into Lara's music, I strongly suggest that you always choose videos that have English subtitles (even better if it also has subtitles in the language it's being sung in). It makes a big difference when you understand what is being said although she is masterful at drawing us in to the emotional journey with her.
