Hey in the nicest possible way, I don't think our Jordie Barrett is going to Leinster to (as one of your commenter's said) "see how Irelands mind set works"! I don't know him myself, but let me tell you what I know of him, my brother lives 5 or 10 mins down the road from his family in NZ. The Barretts come from a coastal farming area, and quite a harsh one at that, the town is called Rahotu and it has a population of 200!! Not 200,000 just 200! There are 8 kids in his family, 5 boys, 3 of them All Blacks, there is an older brother that got knocked in the head and couldn't continue playing rugby! They have 3 sisters, one of them disabled whom they are proud of and love. When they were young like primary school age, they lived in Ireland for a couple of years, their father, well known here (NZ) in local Rugby in his own right, played for a rugby club over in Ireland called the Buccaneers. In My Opinion - Jordie Barrett is not going to Ireland for money, he's not going there to spy on Irish rugby lol, he's not going there to teach anyone ffs, he's a country boy who has jumped at the opportunity to go back to Ireland where he obviously has some happy memories and play a bit of footy. "So keep calm and be fkn nice to him" xx 🏴

Barrett arrives for the period covering the 6n with most of the team away for that and the inevitable injuries that come with it he can slot right in and show some younger players how it’s done. If he takes a few tips back to NZ so what? The game is evolving all the time and it’s not as though NZ need many lessons anyway. It’s a box office signing for Leinster and the league.

People keep saying that Barrett is coming in to play 12 and 15 which is fair enough, he has a huge sample size at both positions but when everyone is healthy, I think Leinster play him off the right wing. It doesn't make sense to displace Robbie Henshaw or Hugo Keenan. They probably won't knock Frawley out of the 23 altogether either. Larmour is playing well on the right wing but Jordie Barrett is a different level of gravy in terms of his size, physicality and his monstrous right boot. Imagine have Lowe on the left with his monster left boot and Barrett on the right wing. Barrett has played a decent number of games for the All Blacks at 14 and I could easily see him slip in to that position for Leinster when all of their internationals are back and healthy.

Would that fella on the right ever comb his hair? He's constantly "just out of the bed" on these.

People saying “spy in the camp” could be true but Barrett may not want to leave once he has a taste of the Irish lifestyle 😎
@kelsyn219 ай бұрын
he has signed with NZ beyond the next world cup, he's not playing beyond the 6 months in leinster
@Macktron9 ай бұрын
Henshaw has'nt exactly been setting the world on fire latley and he has had some injury trouble the last few years so its pretty clear he'll play at 12
@johnmc38629 ай бұрын
Henshaw has come back in brilliantly. While not quite back to his best he has been making a real difference. Some pure clueless people here.
@readesiun9889 ай бұрын
Henshaw has been more than on his game, you need to go to Specsavers

Leinster arent full so why not,jenkins,alalatoah,ngatai all gone and ross moloney,great signing..lot of very jealous people out there,

Like, where does he actually play is the question.
@kelsyn219 ай бұрын
he will be extremely valuable for leinster during the six nations schedule next year, having him along with RGS and tupou while 87% of the squad is gone(international commitments) they're perfect players to have around during that period jordie could play anywhere in that backline, he fixes the worst case scenarios. teams are starting to sacrifice rounds even championships fielding reserve players because of jetlag and travel busy and congested schedules international(6NATIONS) and club competition(URC) along with mid year tests obviously leinster want to be competitive and field a solid squad and have valuable players who will not be affected by these issues all throughout the season, they want to win it all

What does "like " mean here?

He can play 10, not his best position but he is better there thsn snyone Leinster currently have in thst position

Jordi Barrett just might (not likely) be a failure at Leinster. I wouldn’t be exhalting him just yet. At least not until he produces the goods on the field.
@bernieob95779 ай бұрын
I don't see why they are bringing him in for 6mths he will get to see how irelands mind set works .strange

New Zealand already beat us when it counts so maybe we can learn from him

I said the second I heard it, this is Leo's worst decision so far, Leinster already have world class players in 12 and 15, Barrett has already said he is hear to learn as much as possible , I am sure he will. Just as James illuded to, crazy move that will bite them in the ass.
@johnmc38629 ай бұрын
It’s isn’t just Leo’s decision there are plenty more involved.

Have to agree. Spy in the camp. If Ireland fail to beat All Blacks in WC. Told you so.😂

Er' how long was Ronan O'Gara here with the Crusaders?! And they call us AB supporters mad haha! It's sport, he lived in Ireland as a kid, he's just going back to a place he loved to play a bit of footy!! Wouldn't you? It's still only a game people!!
