"He's not the most gifted or talented." Every one of these guys keeps saying that. I love the Moneyball scene when they are picking players, and all the old-timers are sitting around going, "Billy, why, this guy looks funny," Bill points to Pete, and Pete says, "Yeah, but he gets on base." They are evaluating Purdy based of what other players have done in the past and not what he's doing in the present.

@RobbieStacks908 ай бұрын
I had a lot of money on the game, both pregame and during the comeback, so I was thrilled when he went for it. I still think the 49ers would have rallied from down 17 if he had kicked the field goal, but it would have required either last minute heroics or overtime just based on how much time would have been left in the game. As soon as he turned it over on downs, I logged back in and placed a few hundred dollars on SF's 7th drive result to be a touchdown (which I had to sweat out because they got it on 3rd down following the Aiyuk catch). All in all, I'm not complaining because I profited, but Campbell definitely cost the Lions what might be their one shot at a Super Bowl appearance. As good as they'll probably be for a while, it's difficult to even make it to the conference championship game.

Except they were there in large part because he calls games like that. I'd rather lose being aggressive than lose being scared. The 49ers almost lost to the Packers because Shanahan was scared. They had lost several games because Shanahan gets scared when things get rough.

@@coreyburke3493preach as a 49ers I tell people this all the time and they look at me crazy. Kyle did it again today too

Campbell called a horrible second half; blew off two easy field goals.

Dan Campbell is the Staley of the NFC. Losing a 17 point lead in the playoffs/ going for 4th and 2 instead of kicking a field goal to tie the game to me that was ludicrous.!!

if it has worked out, he'd been a hero. He did a great job with his team, they're a terrific team and just ran into a a terrific team that had a better day. Congrats to bioth teams and both coaches.

, Detroit had the chance to kick the field goal twice and they didn’t do it, that’s why they lost the game, not because Deebo showed up or because Cristian or Brad played well.

49ers can now come from behind to beat a top team. ESPN analysts got nothing on Ronbo from Ronbo Sports. Bang! Bang! Niner Gang!

I am now pulling for 49ners in the Super Bowl and I am a Broncos fan. Purdy is the real deal. The 9ners dug deep and won the game. Congrats to the Lions for a great season. They will be back. I hope they go all the way next year and close the deal.

It was awesome chanting, "Jared Sucks!" while walking out of Levis Stadium. Lion fans were chanting "Jared Goff" during the 1st half a lot and also during halftime. Funny a fan base thinks Goff is legit. 😆😅🤣

On the youtube streams people were shocked he was going for it even before they didn't get it. Especially the second time when they were down 3.

Not trying to kick those two field goals cost them the game. This is the playoffs and not the regular season where you get to play again the next week. It’s so hard to get to that point for a team. Feel for the Lions and their fans. Of course if they make the 1st down, all is good, but why chance it.

This is exactly what I was saying all game. Letting the analytics is cool when you have a whole season to let things fall in your favor. When there is no game next week you take the points

Wrong. The drops and the fumbles cost them the game.

Give Dan Campbell some credit. Lots of teams play safe in the 4th quarter and lose. Campbell went out to win the game, they lost but they lost trying to win.

You don’t win a game by giving up points . He left 6 points on the field and gave SF momentum.
