Troy was a session/touring musician with Nightwish since 2007 and a full time member in 2013. Troy's pipes are Irish bagpipes (Ulliean pipes). He also plays a variety of tin whistles, guitar with EBow, Irish bouzouki, and a bunch of other instruments. He plays an excellent acoustic guitar - check out "How's the Heart" acoustic with Floor at Planet Rock. In "Harvest" Troy takes on the lead singer role.

The camaraderie at 5:22 that you noticed is actually Emppu informing Troy of his plan to prank Floor. Emppu runs over and turns off Floor's earpiece at 10:50. You can see her turn it back on at 10:53. He passes her again at 11:19, but she's not having it this time. My understanding is that Troy and Floor were both asked to become permanent band members before this concert, but it had yet to be announced publicly. The pure joy and excitement on the whole band's faces throughout the concert really tells a tale of satisfaction and contentment with finally having the "family" whole again. Emppu turned off Floors in ear, but she got him back at a later date. She had one of his beer bottles filled with apple juice. Emppu HATES apple juice... 😂🤣 Don't mess with the queen, she'll get you back. Troy had been touring with Nightwish since 2007.

Work comes first. Lots of hard working people in the US. You are one of them. Love your commitment. What you do is important, training the police force. Can save lives. Emppu achieved black belt in judo in 2015. As a junior, 15-16 year olds, he won the Finnish Championship twice, and he won the bronze medal in Nordic Championships. He says music saved him from sports. LOL Tuomas is like the captain of the ship Nightwish. He takes a look at the guys on deck, sees that everything goes perfect, and then he smiles. Those are the moments when he realizes this is where he belongs, and he would not want to trade places with anyone.

Troy made his first guest appearance in 2007, Tuomas is already planning a joint project in 2010, in 2013 he and Floor will become Wacken band members a month before the live DVD is released, in 2015 he will be background singer for the first time, in 2020 he will sing Harvest as main singer and Floor as background.

Few points for you, MMA Dad. First, don't burn yourself out! You can only do so much. When I recommended this song very early in your journey, I recommended the Buenos Aires version as it has much more of a Celtic feel. Highly suggest that when you have a moment to just sit back and digest it, do so! No reaction required. People recommend this one because of the prank Emppu does, but no reactors even notice, so it isn't fair to you to miss the more party hardy atmosphere of the Buenos Aires one! Lastly, regarding the Floor/Phantom of the Opera blocking issues, try uploading the video with a link to the original in the lowbar. That might help. Otherwise, the only thing I can think of is to put in pauses/breaks every 30 seconds or so. Like full stop on the music/video even if you only have three or four seconds of a screen showing you are doing this for "creative use and shouldn't be blocked" or something! :) Anyways, take it easy mate.

back at Wacken 2013 neigther Floor nor Troy. Where Members of the band ( the kind of where but it wasent anounced yet wasent made publick. Troy had toured with the band for years at that point. Since decades Troy support the band as guest instrumentalist at studio albums and on stage, but shortly after this Wacken Open Air concert 2013 Troy and Floor both were announced to became full members. Once again a good video. And take care of yourself, don’t try too much, we can wait! However, you have an important job that needs to be taken care of well. I have a friend who is in a slightly similar work situation as you. Normal work in the police and in addition a trainer (so his teaching job is similar to yours). Troy is a multi-instrumentalist, he can certainly play the following: uilleann pipes, tin whistle, vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, pump organ, bouzouki, cittern, bodhrán, mandola, harmonium. We believe he can play other instruments as well. The reason for that is in an interview where he was asked what all he can play. Troy listed those I mentioned. The interviewer then asked if there was anything else yet. Troy said no ... But he knows how to play a little with the following and listed about 10 more instruments ... :D

All you ever hear about on the news are bad officers being corrupt or involved in improper use of force, but I've worked in corrections, security, and cash logistics and pretty much everything law enforcement adjacent. I know how hard the job is, especially mentally, psychologically, and spirituality. And I know that despite what the news would have us believe, 99% of officers do their job out of love for their community and a desire to keep people safe. It's good to know there are people like you out there training a new generation of officers to do things the right way. Much respect.

One thing about this song that is hard to pick up in the mix at Wacken. The pre-chorus where Marco is singing.. the second and third time they sing that, there is actually a 3-part harmony. Troy is also singing there as well, but in the mix for this it is hard to hear. Troy's vocals are more prominent in the performance of this at Buenos Aires. They make a really great 3-part harmony on this, and what I think does it all are the accents. When singing, you can slightly hear their accent as they sing in English, but Troy's Northern England accent is really prominent, and hearing the combination of Dutch, Finnish, and Queen's English accents in the same song is great. Also, Troy has been performing with Nightwish as a guest since 2007. He actually appeared in the official video for The Islander, which came out on Dark Passion Play.

I love that you are a police officer. Thank you so much for your service to our country. It is not an easy job ever and especially right now with the culture war that is raging. You should tell us more about your stuntman acting. It would be great to see you in action my friend. Emppu was telling Troy about the prank that he was about to pull on Floor. He told Troy he was going to pull the plug on Floor's in ear monitors later in the song. He did it at 10:52 of your reaction video and you can see Floor reaching behind her back to reconnect the in ears. Then when Emppu comes back at 11:18 of your video, she turns around and warns him "Don't try that again you little joker". This is a very happy song, even though they are wanting their tears of joy back. This is referring to wanting the wonder and awe of youth back. Tuomas loves to write about recapturing the lost innocence of youth. Troy was playing the uilleann pipes. A version of a bag pipe. I love the fact that you train police in hand to hand combat. I have 2 family members who are active police officers and I worry for their safety every day. For the really popular videos you need to pause your reaction videos and talk for a little while in order to not get your videos blocked. Don't over work yourself to give us reaction videos. In Spanish we know thus instrument as "Gaita".... you as Pipes... is a Celtic instrument. My family cames from Spain so I hear beautiful music with Pipes...
