The song original gender is called "Guarania" from Paraguay. "Dulce yvapurü"(sweet yvapurü) refers to a kind of tree that produces a sweet purple color fruit. Maria Teresa Marquez(who wrote the song)was argentinian and the composer Demetrio Ortiz was from Paraguay. Before Nino Bravo recorded "Mis Noches Sin Tí" the song was a hit in Europe in the 60s on its original version by the famous Paraguayan singer Luis Alberto del Parana and his band Los Paraguayos.
