Peter has a 4 octave range add Tim's 5 octave and they can cover just about anything and switch up who sings what. But for me, what makes it so special is the sound of their voices in harmony. Tim and Peter are old friends.

This is old, old traditional English folk song (late 1500's). You may have also heard this melody at Christmas in a carol called "What Child is This?" It is a very beautiful song in a minor key which give it the uniqueness. I love this - thanks for the reaction.

All of it is just their voices. Peter layers the vocals and it sounds like a choir behind them, but it's just the two. also, an interesting fact - they shot this in 1 take.

Thank you for reacting to this one - I often think it's my favourite of the songs Tim and Peter do together. (Then I listen to one of the others and fall in love with that, but I come back to this one.) Yes, indeed, kudos to the cameraman - I heard that they were driving somewhere else to shoot the video when they passed this spot on the cliffs and decided that they'd try to do it all in one take there. With the sun going down, they wouldn't have had many chances to get it right.

This is a beautiful old English folk song from the time of Henry VIII. The melody was later used in “What Child is This”. First song I played on the guitar. Tim & Peter have collaborated on several songs: Amazing Grace; 19 You & Me; Sounds of Silence; Bridge Over Troubled Water; Peter has mastered layering in his songs. Tim Blew me away Again with his incredible range!! Great Reaction!!!

First time I heard this song was in the early '60s. The Brothers Four were a group of fraternity brothers from the University of Washington that came together in 1957 and are still singing today.

Thanks for the great reaction! You always notice the little details. I like that you get to hear them both sing gently but then with a lot of power in this one, they used dynamic contrast to really great effect. And hearing Tim belt in his low range is a treat, he doesn't get to do that much in Home Free.

Hi What it Do! Sorry for the late reaction but I was on the road. This is a beautiful song. It is very old, 1500’s. Tim and Peter do amazing collaborations don’t they? The more I hear this the more I love it. They have done Misty Mountains, Greensleeves, Sounds of Silence, Fire and Rain (an old James Taylor song) and Bridge over troubled Water. They are all good. I also love Peter with Avi Kaplan in Black is the Color of my True Love’s Hair. Peter is amazing. Keep reacting!

King Henry VIII wrote this for Anne Bolynn, his 2nd wife as she wore green sleeves alot at court. King Henry and Anne Bolynns sister, Mary, had a relationship which produced a son. My family line was established then. So Anne Bolynn, Greensleeves, was my great (x centuries), Aunt. So this song is special to me and I LOVE this rendition of it!

One of my all time favorites although my brain keeps switching over to ‘What Child is This’ in the middle. This was said to have been written by Henry VIII.

Dave you get a haircut ??WDave this a tune that is known to be at least 450 years oold. It was attributed to King Henry VIII of England (famous for his 6 wives) that he had written it until just this last century, (1900's) when upon closer scrutiny, the tune resemble an Italian style of troubador song not introduced in england until the late 1500's in the reign of Henry's daughter Queen Elizabeth I. It's commonly associsated with Christmas being used for "What Child is this :)

I am definitely wanting to see your reaction to "Sound Of Silence" with the 2 of them layering it up. Yep, I think it is the best cover of that song. Other groups have sung it, but theirs has a blended feel to it. Like it's not about being excited for their solo part, but about the overall blend.
