You should try "Maszerują strzelcy", "Piechota", "Pałacyk Michla", "Pierwsza brygada".

Yes, they are much more famous. Because this one here I haven't heard earlier - although I think I know many, of these most famous, Polish military songs and songs from the Warsaw Uprising period. So he indeed should listen next time to those most famous.

"Rozkwitały pąki białych róż", "Przybyli ułani pod okienko". I knew that one of course, but I'm nearly 40, so I doubt it is still as well known as it used to be.

The album "Gloria Victis" is the result of cooperation between musicians and historical reenactors. The leaders of the Historical Reenactment Group "VIS-Radom", brothers Przemysław and Bartosz Bednarczyk, came up with the idea of recording well-known songs about war and partisan themes. Looking for original and attractive forms of conveying historical content, they invited the musicians of the Lustro group to participate in a historical spectacle entitled "The Forest Will Answer with Silence". The combination of the concert with elements of staging gave an excellent effect, and the old partisan hits in a new rock sound appealed to both older and younger audiences.

Last verse: Swedish (gymnastics) in the morning and German (Prussian) drill, i.e. strict discipline all day long. And Polish food - in the sense of war poverty on a large part of Polish territory (World War I took place in the east, in a large part on Polish territory, here the German, Austrian and Russian armies fought (and for example, the Austrians displaced the Polish civilian population en masse, the Germans burned Polish villages and towns, and the Russians, in turn, plundered and took to Russia everything they could get their hands on, including production lines from factories. Of course, everyone took food.). And from Poles enlisted in all 3 armies, Polish units were formed (formed by Polish officers and generals from all three armies) fighting only for Poland, which joined with units formed by Poles, among others, in France. These units became allies of France and Great Britain, but not Russia, and not Germany or Austria.

whenever Polish history is mentioned, my countrymen start to feel suffering, crying, melancholy and martyrdom. We cannot forget the past, but Poland is not only wars and partitions. It is autumn now, some more interesting topics would be useful for these cloudy days

You could watch a Polish history movie "Teart Telewizji. Marszałek" from 2017. It is about Polish war hero Joseph Piłsudski. He was one of the leaders of Polish conspiracy before WWI, then during World War One he was the commander of the uprising that got us our independence back. Between 1919-1921, during the Polish-Bolshevik War he was the Chief in command of Polish army and led it to victory. After that, he retired, but in 1926, pissed off with the lack of efficiency in Polish democratic gouvernment, he returned and established a Half-Dictatorship (he had absolute power, but was ruling Well, and People didn't mind him), for 9 years, before passing away from liver cancer in 1935. The movie takes place in 1933, right after Hitler's rise to power, and shows how old Marshall Piłsudski reacted to that information.

Not really a very famous song. I think you need to be a Polish legionnaire connoisseur to listen to it today. Doesn't have much emotional payload, just a simple song that those guys used to sing. There's plenty of Polish historical/patriotic music that is still relevant today either because of its historical meaning or telling us about those times or simply being beautiful and very emotional. This one doesn't seem to cut it.
