I have been hoping you would discover Stan! I confess to being obsessed with reactions to him. What a voice! And he has done it hard - someone is bound to have commented he had his stomach removed due to cancer. His strong faith, he says - evident in the emotion he brings to this song - helped him prevail. He had to learn how to sing all over again as it affected his diaphragm.

He just released a very powerful song you should check out. Search "I Am" from the film Origin. Not to be confused with another song he does called I am the colour. The video clip is just gorgeous to watch but he also has a live version with the Levites. Maybe watch them both. He sings in his native tongue for the chorus, no cc but the translation is in the description to the video clip. Powerful song about reclaiming identity, heritage and spirit. ❤ It's been hitting all the feels with other reactors on KZbin.

I raced over here as soon as I saw the post. OMG! so so happy you've reacted to Stan Walker and his backing group are The Levites. Harmonies to die for. Stan is a walking/singing miracle. He nearly died with a rare disease and had to have his stomach removed. Incredible faith. Another fav of mine is Stan Walker performing ‘New Light’ with The Levites band. Sooo, idk if you'll see this but Stan Walker actually had some pretty serious bouts with cancer and had his stomach removed a couple of years ago, so not only is he singing like he's gods gift he had to relearn how to control his breath and the way he sang without the use of his now nonexistent stomach, just a little tidbit
