If im not mistaken, this was the last music video they put out together as SuperFruit since they were putting superfruit on the back burner, and it had the subtext of a promise to each other that they'd always still be friends/in each others lives. (That look they share on the bleachers, heartfelt!)

I ❤ how you love Superfruit! So many people just don't get them, or are uncomfortable, but man their stuff is always catchy and full on fire. I love how fun their videos are. This is a cover of an 80's track which is probably why it's my favourite song by them (I was born 1976 so 80's stuff is my absolute fave). So glad you enjoyed it!

Not sure if you knew this but Scott and Mitch dated briefly in high school, Mitch broke things off, Scott was a little heartbroken. Later they started to hook up during the Sing-Off but realized they were better as just friends and their relationship grew to be something so much deeper than that. There is so much history between them and their love for each other is like a cross between best friends/brothers with some unrequited romance mixed in. They used to drive fans crazy flirting with each other all the time! They have shared so much of their lives together and lived together for years in the same house (sometimes with other roommates too), they were almost like an old married couple, but not quite. I would love to see Mitch find what Scott has found with Mark.

Your eyes were closed and you missed the most significant thing about this video. During the lyric" I will always be there". There was the most heartfelt gaze in Superfruit history exchanged between Scott and Mitch. In a much later live stream. Mitch at his house alone was asked about his favorite Superfruit video............... He deflected that question. But did say his most emotional one was "The Promise". It happened to be their last one too. By the way the song is a cover of When In Rome's 1988 original. Thanks for your reactions.

Such a great video and song. Love your reaction. It's an 80's cover and Adam is an Olympic figure skater. I love this song/video. They are so great together - and I view it as a song to their friendship, though, of course, it could be a love song as well. You'll probably appreciate the fun/humor of guy.exe - I remember being so surprised the first time I saw it. Also, don't know if others have recommended it, but Todrick Hall's Wizard of Ahhhs is excellent. A full-on movie short that is so damn clever and let's them show off more than just their vocal chops. Others have mentioned and I agree that I think you'd like Come Along and New Rules, Attention (there's also a behind the scenes for that one), and the original Happy Now. Keep up the good work!

Adam has a KZbin series and Mitch and Scott were guests for an episode. Adam taught them some very elemental skating moves, and the boys were game to try. It’s very fun to watch. Ah, I love Adam Rippon. He's such a lovely skater, and is an Olympic silver medalist. (Seriously, check his performance in the men's free skate of the 2018 winter Olympics. KZbin likes to nuke any links I put in the comments, but just look for a video titled "Adam Rippon (USA) - 2018 PyeongChang, Figure Skating, Team Event, Men's Free Skate". It's gorgeous.) There's a video Adam did after this came out where he tried to teach Scott and Mitch how to skate. It's hilarious.

I think people are recomending based on your taste because I rarely see this recomended heavily. People seem to be very good at recomending based on the reactor.

It is recommended heavily by Superfruit fans. Maybe not PTX fans. The PTX fan base is much larger. So Superfruit in general is not on recommended lists.

@@donny1960 I'm not saying it's not recomended. But it's usually not one of the firt recomended ones by superfruit fans. Defying gravity, frozen, beyonce, the future friends album etc is usually more recomended from what I have seen. I think the Promise was more heavily recomended here since it's very in line with his tastes.

Adam Rippon is an Olympic skater and has (also) been used by Taylor Swift in at least one of her videos...specifically "You Need To Calm Down" about gay-haters being so upset by gay folks. I hesitate to say Adam is gay, too...but he appears in Taylor's video, anyway. P.S. Just checked Wiki...and Adam is openly gay.

I tend to agree... although the point of being a reactor is being open to music beyond one's personal preferences. Avi's music is very personal to him and it shows in his singing and lyrics. If Salvo sees this... you should watch original video (I assume there is one), but I prefer that one over this too. (Love you S&M!! I love this version too!)
