This song is about the story of how his parents met and the death of his mother. "Now Cinderella don't you go to sleep, its such a bitter form of refuge. Oh don't you know the kingdoms under siege and everybody needs you" Is a clever line telling his mom to keep fighting and holding on because the family still needed her.

Brandon flowers mum was diagnosed with a brain tumour the song tells the story of his parents love white trash county kiss in 61…… revelations set his souls on fire she said she always knew he’d come around and then at the end in the bridge his desperation for her to fight. Cinderella don’t you go to sleep it’s such a bitter form of refuge don’t you know the kingdom is under siege and everybody needs you. Heartbreaking and yet it’s amazing he could turn something like losing his mother into something so powerful and beautiful

Every time I watch this, I will sorry for Dave (the guitarist) at the end when he goes into the crowd. At first he has all the girls until Brandon joins him and they all leave Dave to hang on Brandon.
