The album represents the weeknd tired of hollywood. Its the "after hours" after the stardom he realizes the fame only fuel his bad habit and addiction and cause turmoil in his love life so he wants to "Escape from L.A". The first track of the album is an eerie melody " Alone again " so he copes the only way hes known how and indulge in the drugs and the "blinding lights" to feel something. Yet every video he is running away. The last track "until I bleed out" he is badtripping and wants to stop but realises he can't. Then Bonus tracks he relapses "Nothing compares" and last bonus track "Final Lullaby" he Ods and die. His whole album is a story when you pay attention.

It’s a continuation, it starts with heartless, blinding lights, after hours short film, in your eyes, until I bleed out, and Snowchild (this one is a animation).

Snowchild is like a prequel imo. Tho the music video came up last, I think it's the first one in this series. It's about his life before After Hours. Note that the last part of the music video is him smiling, looking up to thousands of little lights, which is also the starting scene of Heartless.
@mikotan12844 жыл бұрын
@Typical_Chill yes. Too Late comes after In Your Eyes. The music video for Too Late wasn't released yet when we were making these comments. Also, The Weeknd's AMA performance (just 2 days ago) is somehow connected to Too Late. He was wearing bandages around his face like those girls in Too Late.

Hey April! I’ve been in a few bands over the years and I’m always looking for what each member is doing. I read that they brought in Wojtek Goral to do the sax part for this. And in a special collaboration The Weeknd later did a version with Kenny G! I think many people believe Kenny G is in this 😂 But that’s definitely not Kenny G. He’s always sporting those luscious curls!

I stumbled upon this video not looking for a reaction. But as a guy who tends to lean more toward rock and alternative in my daily music ventures, The Weeknd turns the dial for me in a big way. I do love all kinds of music. But when it comes to pop, this is what speaks to me.
@phymatoyt70874 жыл бұрын
Actually 'After Hours' is the name of his most recent album. The visual series starts from song called Heartless, then Blinding lights, then After Hours short film, then In Your Eyes, then Until I Bleed Out and Finally ends in Snowchild. I recommend you to listen to whole album in sequence and also check his very first album Trilogy from 2011. Trilogy is his best work, just check it out. Love your content ✨

@kinoguy75034 жыл бұрын
people are going to keep suggesting songs from his latest album, but you should really really check out some of his earlier stuff. he's had a huge shift in style. when he first started getting attention he made dark, kind of sad R&B focused on infidelity and addiction. the synth-pop stuff is great as well, but super different from where he started. The Hills should be the next weeknd song you do. or Wicked Games.
