One of my favorites songs by Vince , his voice has an angelic quality to it & that being said would you please react to Evanescence "My Immortal" it's not country , it's rock but the lead singer sure can sing like an angel as well.

When I first heard this song I didn't pay a lot of attention to the words because I was caught up in the beautiful voice and the beautiful harmony and I thought the "pocket full of gold" meant he had a lot of money in his pocket. I had to listen to it again to figure out the "gold" in his pocket was his wedding ring that he put there so he could convince some "stranger" that he wasn't married. Great song by Vince Gill! You've got to check out "It's me again Margaret" by Ray Stevens.

Hello Deon, I like your program because you're just honest, a story. I'm just a country boy from Oklahoma who is an American Indian. I was driving around in my pickup and spotted a pile of bricks at the curb in front of a house, I saw a black man and a couple of young boys outside so I stopped and asked the man if he was throwing the bricks away, he said yes take them if you want them, so I started piling them in my pickup then the man said we have some more in the back I said okay I'll get them he replied my sons will bring them to you and they did. After they did I said to the man You sure have a couple of nice boys, and he looked at me with a strange look on his face like I'd said something wrong so I thought about what I'd said and realized maybe when I said boys so I quickly said I have two boys of my own but they're grown and live in their own places and the look on the man's face changed when he realized that I didn't mean an insult when I said boys about his sons. We Cherokees hold our sons in high esteem and a man like me is called the Indian word for boy by my older cousins because all boys are called by that word sometimes even after we're grown, but I understand why black people resent the term "boy."
