The princess theme was actually part of Winwin's birthday party. For his birthday he asked the members to dress up as princesses and he wanted to host a tea party. So, if you really want to see why they are dressed up as princesses, check out the party vlog. It was ep. 4 of Winwin's Winformation vlog. No one had to convince them to do this, Winwin suggested it and they all jumped on board. For the party they all stay in character and they pretend to be their princess characters. Plus, if you want to see them getting ready for the party and how much work their stylists put into making them look like their specific princess character, check out their behind-the-scenes footage.

Take off is their first original song! - yeah they're super in sync in general - I looove the imaginery in their choreos and the hand movements!! - TEN looks so pretty as Alice, I think him and Kun as Snow white are the prettiest - their energy is always so good uwu - oh you're singing the Bad Alive english version, the dance practice is the mandarin version.

The "bounce" move during "Phantom" is supposed to be like the WayV members are floating like ghosts. The song is called "Phantom," so they are supposed to remind you of ghosts or someone that is being possessed by a ghost, etc. The whole song and MV has a Phantom of the Opera-style theme. The dancers don't just "move" to the beat around them. They are actually telling a story, so anyone involved in the dance -- whether it's the group members or backup dancers -- they are playing characters within the dance and they are an extension of the story that is being told. Most of the time they aren't just moving to look cool, each move is done to tell the story.

You should really check out WayV's Un Cut behind dance practice footage for "On My Youth", which was just released. This is a great way for you to see just how involved they are in creating the choreography and what goes into learning a new dance, etc. You keep asking how they do these dances and remember the moves, etc., well SM actually creates videos showing the whole creative process and you can watch them learning the choreography and be a fly on the wall while they are in the dance studio or recording booth or on the set as they film their MVs, etc. to see how things are done. And SM has been doing this for most of its artists and groups for a few years now, so if you want to see how EXO or NCT -- or any SM artist -- does what they do, you just have to watch one of these videos.
