Mann vs. Machine is a mode for Team Fortress 2 where all the mercenaries team up in a 6 man group against increasing waves of robots who try to carry a bomb to the end of the base. Strategy is a big factor, as 6 Scouts will be fast, but 1 big explosion will wipe everyone out. Robots drop $ so the Mercs. can upgrade their weapons and abilities, its personally my favorite thing to play in TF2 :D

The word "Mann" comes from the brothers Redmond and Blutarch Mann, leaders of the RED and BLU teams respectively and sons of the founder of Mann Co, which supplies the teams with weapons and ammo. At the moment, Mann Co. is owned by Saxton Hale, an Australian who's been changed by an element known as Australium, which made him very strong, very intelligent and gave him chest hair shaped like Australia.

Man Vs Machine is a really fun co-op game mode. It's where you Team up with 5 other players and work together to kill robots. The robots have a bomb and you have to stop them from deploying the bomb by the spawn point or its game over. There are multiple waves and it's get a harder as the waves are completed. There are also tanks, big robots, sniper and spy bots that you have to look out for. There are three different difficulties and multiple maps.

TF2's main modes involved player vs player with an objective like capturing points, stealing the other teams briefcase (capture the flag), pushing/stopping a payload which is reused by Blizzard in Overwatch, payload race, etc. Mann vs Machine is a player vs AI mode effectively being a Horde mode with the enemy AI attempting to drop a bomb to a location while adding character stat boosts through money collected via robot destruction. The Scout, specifically, has an increased cash collecting radius to assist in fast, massive cash grabbing and the money amount any player collects is given to all players as well, so they may spend their personal cuts as they see fit. Getting a perfect cash collection will give everyone an extra cash bonus at the end of the wave

Well I don't know about most popular but I know that Soldier is the character most people use as their main due to his versatility. As for Mann-Vs-Machine it is a gamemode where a team of six must defend against waves of robots to prevent a bomb carrier from blowing up the objective. Money is dropped as you destroy robots and that money can be used to them upgrade weapons and abilities to better fight the next waves. Each class has their own particular advantages to being chosen for MvM, such as the Pyro being able to airblast robots back, the Engineer's sentries and teleporters being indispensable, and the Scout being able to pick up money in a much larger range and even healing as he picks it up.

This is a gamemode in-game. The story is that since Mann Co. closed the red and blues have no reasons to fight each other. But someone made Robots versions of each class from the game. Exemple The heavy as a robot version. And that someone is using these robots to try and destroy specific points. So the red mercenaries and the blue (Which were mortal enemies) actually teams up to fight these robots which are technically les strong than the originals mercenaries since they are just copies. But they are a lot more and they have giant versions. (This is a bad explaination but i hope it helps... Also... sorry if my English was bad)

Pyro only sees lollipops and rainbows in-game if you equip one of the special weapons from that short (like the tuba thing he had). That was the last of the class "Meet the" videos they made, and the whole "Pyro sees in rainbows" thing had never been hinted at previous to that. However, there is an item called the Pyrovision goggles that allow any class to experience the world through Pyro's eyes. Just note that it along with a hat called the "Ghastly Gibus" are THE stereotypical noob cosmetic items. This was the reveal trailer for the "Mann vs. Machine" mode, which was Co-op vs. AI. You just try to keep wave after wave of robots (that are, of course, copies of the existing classes) from delivering a bomb to your base.

I can usually play and notice we have 4 or more spies/snipers at the bottom of the score board. its a running joke in the community that said, as far as just pure character goes i think heavy and soldier are at the top. Heavy in game is SUPER animated. if you play him and don't instantly get head shot or back stabbed he says a lot of funny things as you mow down the enemy team. Same with soldier. Though Demoman has a soft spot in my heart if only because half the things he says is in a drunken slur as he destroys the enemy team, or gets dominated himself. "I'M DRUNK! you don't have an excuse!"

3:00 answer to your question: The TF2 developers actually gave us the answer long ago. They said that explosive classes (soldier/ demoman) can output the largest amount of damage in this gamemode. However, an Engineer's sentry is also a must-have, as robot scouts are too mobile to be hit, so the sentry gun would cover the backline and keep the team focus on the frontline. The dispenser can also supply endless ammo for teammates, given that ammo boxes are generally scarce in this gamemode.

Popular character? The most common main is considered to be soldier. My main is medic. I think the most common mains would be scout, soldier, demoman, and pyro, but that just a guess. Medics, engineers, spies, and heavies are less common in my experience, possibly due to their lack of balance. Heavy is strong, but very slow, and relies on his minigun typically, engie relies on his buildings (typically), medic relies on his patients to keep him alive (typically), and spy...well he's just a difficult class to master, is all. The common classes are the ones that are both easy to understand and capable of being independent on the battlefield. That doesn't make them any better or worse, though. All classes are great assets on the field.
