Fun facts: As stated in the Japanese dub and manga, Vegito was powerful enough to destroy Buu any time he wanted to. He didn't because his friends and family were part of Buu and they would have died with Buu. Vegito didn't kill him and acted so cocky because he wanted Buu to absorb him so he could save the other characters.

I love that you can immediately tell that Vegeta is the dominant personality in their fusion. Not only that, to my ears at least, his voice is a little more distinctive; he says I when talking about being worried about the fusion. It's a nice touch to me is all.

The name Vegito actually isn't a combo of Vegeta and Goku. It's actually a combo of Vegeta and Kakarot. However, the japanese pronounce "Kakarot" as "Kakarotto" and the name came out to be Vegetto.

The thing with Buu is, there's Fat Buu, who split off his evil side, which became Skinny Buu. Skinny Buu fought and defeated Fat Buu and then turned him into candy and ate him, becoming Super Buu. Super Buu then absorbed several people, taking on the clothes and some character traits of the strongest one he absorbed. When he absorbed Vegito, he managed to avoid becoming part of Buu, but then split up (later explained in Super that the Potara Fusion only lasts one hour if you're not a Kai). Vegeta and Goku freed everyone, including Fat Buu, from Super Buu, resulting in Super Buu being returned to his original, pure evil form. Kid Buu.

Yes, the sacrifice came before, so yes, that weird halo over Vegeta was an actual halo. He temporarily came back to life as Vegito, since if you fuse with one live guy and one dead guy, the fusion is alive. They did break apart when Vegito allows himself to be absorbed because magic is the only thing that can diffuse them. The source of the magic does not matter. It can be a magical environment, or a wish made to a magical dragon summoned with the Dragon Balls.

Yes. Fat Buu came first. We first see Fat Buu, then Evil Buu, followed by Super Buu, then Super Buu after absorbing Gotenks & Piccolo, then after Super Buu absorbs Gohan, and then we have Kid Buu. Though chronologically in-universe, Kid Buu came first, then he becomes Fat Buu, then Evil Buu, then Super Buu, then "Buutenks", then "Buuhan", and then back to Kid Buu.

The best part is, Vegeto isn't even putting in effort. He's toying with Super Buuhan the entire fight. Vegeto is brutally overpowered. Only fused Zamasu gave him trouble, and he had to be immortal to do so. The only fusion nearly that strong is Gogeta Blue, or maybe SS4 Gogeta.
