This one has broken everyone who has watched this. Then vioLayne showed up and it broke us all over again. I cried with the original, and I cried with the cover. Amazing. Loved the reaction.

I've been around the block playing and listening to music of all types since the late 1970's... I have never had a jaw-drop moment the way I did with this. Seen many seasoned reactors (a few I talk to off from KZbin), who were in absolute shock by it, for sure. This song is a very simple chord progression, but one with intricate harmonies I was wondering how they would tackle them... and they managed to find a way to do it to perfection.

I have no idea how i was able to live during the time I was listening to this song because my heart was skipping so many heart beats and it was raising a million heart beats a minute and talk about the violin i never knew that he can play the violin.

How could anyone not love this cover would baffle me! It is out of this world and phenomenal! I was surprised the first time when Layne broke out the violins. Geoff graced us with the bellowing bass. I loved everything about it. They totally upped the bar for any other cover and I don’t think it could be topped either. Loved your reaction, Ashley! Glad you had the tissue nearby. Your dad sounds pretty awesome and also sounds like you have a great relationship with him. It was about a year after Metallica released this song that my son was born. I sang this to him everyday when he was an infant. He’s never been a fan of Metallica growing up, but he’s alway loved this song since.
