Hello from indonesia. Thanks for reacting this song🙏🏻 Its a combination between EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and Indonesian Traditional instrument (called "Gamelan"), & English+Javanese! And also the Jaipong Dance, & the attraction (called Debus) from indonesia. You see that man eating fire and glass, that's just for attraction, not in real life😄 Javanese is one of so many traditional languanges in Indonesia. More than 700 living languages are spoken in Indonesia. These figures indicate that Indonesia has about 10% of the world’s languages,establishing its reputation as the second most linguistically diverse nation in the world after Papua New Guinea. Most languages belong to the Austronesian language family, while there are over 270 Papuan languages spoken in eastern Indonesia. Languages in Indonesia are classified into nine categories: national language, locally used indigenous languages, regional lingua francas, foreign and additional languages, heritage languages, languages in the religious domain, English as a lingua franca and sign languages. Of these, Javanese is the largest language by the number of native speakers. *ABOUT THE SONG* The song is based on true story of Princess Lathi from Java(Indonesia) a hundred years ago. It's about a Toxic Relationship (abusive/domestic Violence), She's an innocent girl who got molested and abused by a prince and left to die. But she survived,,she woke up from her pain, and then she took a Revenge! She learned to use black magic,, she turned into something evil and then killed him without touched him! According to the director himself, this MV describe a toxic relationship that mostly held woman hostage whenever the "ILU" word has been said. But some woman strong enough to fight back like in this video she suffers, she fight back, and break free! After she break free, it rain ( rain of tears describe sorrow that must gone thru a breakup. The drop beats part is a merge of many cultural gestures in Indonesia 🇮🇩 Described in a piece of Javanese lyrics :“Kowe ra iso mlayu saka kesalahan. Ajining diri an ing lathi “, MEANING ” You cannot run away from mistakes. A person’s self-esteem is on the tongue ( his words )". In another words….. "In your heart is represented by ur tongue (the way u talk to others), and ur appearances is represented by how u dress". So, the Tittle "LATHI" meaning "TONGUE / YOUR WORDS"! And also a name of the princess. Sara Fajira is a Singer & Rapper from surabaya ( indonesia ) and she's 25 years old now😍 (IG : @sarafajira). Weird genius is the Indonesian DJ and Music Producer group that includes reza oktovian, eka gustiwana, and Gerald liu. This group has been formed since 2016 and released their first song in the same year as the DPS title. DPS = DENPASAR, BALI ( IG : @weird.genius ) Btw, thanks for reacting this song..
