Logan Reyes can you explain that one?
@ciarantc78815 жыл бұрын
@@iamvaraid7652 I'm not the guy you asked but the "bechdel test" is a feminist theory regarding film and other media; a story should have more than one female character and have at least one scene where they interact but don't speak about stuff to do with a guy. Basically its a way to ensure that female character's story and development isn't totally dependant on a male character's. So the bar is referring to how Wonder Woman's first story is about her discovering the outside world with a man
@EM-vw7im5 жыл бұрын
Sappho was a female Greek poet who's poems we're about lesbians, as she was one. Earlier in modern history sapphites or something similar was a way to call a woman a lesbian. It's important here, because Wonder Woman was an Amazon (Greek connection), then there are is the whole lesbian theory about Amazon's and the fact that mythologically they were on the Greek Isle of Lesbos I think, don't quote me on the last one. There may be other smaller meanings and connections the that line has but I think I got the biggest ones.

Da capo (English: /dɑː ˈkɑːpoʊ/, also US: /də -/, Italian: [da kˈkaːpo]) is an Italian musical term that means "from the beginning" (literally, "from the head"). It is often abbreviated as D.C. The term is a directive to repeat the previous part of music, often used to save space, and thus is an easier way of saying to repeat the music from the beginning. Also, obviously the Marvel/DC rivalry.

So he's "a step" above her entire universe. He even SINGS the sliding scale down to prove that's what they were going for, the words "whole step down" are each a half note apart from D to C# to C. It's a double entendre line and thats what makes it so slick.
