"Suffering Sappho" = Sappho was an ancient Greek poet from the isle of Lesbos who wrote works about her love of other women. She's arguably the reason why women who love women are referred to as lesbians and the word "sapphic" refers to love of a lesbian nature. In the lore of Wonder Woman, the island she hails from is populated only by women so most of the inhabitants are either celibate or lesbian though canonically Diana and her mother are each considered bisexual as they've also had male lovers.

(yeah, I know, kinda cringe) And the Bektel Test is a sort of Feminist "test" either created by or popularized by, actress Geena Davis. (Basically it says that to "pass" there needs to be a scene with 2 or more women [only], and they have to be talking to each other about something OTHER than a man) Sadly, instead of just being used as a commentary tool, it has become practically a LAW in Hollywood movies now. She's an Amazon, ergo from an island of women, so many were lesbians. The 'Bechdel test joke' is not a piano, it is a reference to the famed Bechdel tests which suggests that to see if a movie is sexist toward women you should check to see if there is a conversation in it between two women that is not about a man. Basically, he is saying that Wonder Woman is often written from the male gaze and a lot of her work is about men whether fighting or chasing them, so she's hardly the feminist icon she purports to be, if you know what I mean.

The Bechdel test actually doesn't say if a specific movie is sexist, it shows sexism in the movie as a whole. the point is that there are a ton of great & classic movies that couldn't pass, and only a tiny percentage of those that get made that could.

Two guys can have a conversation on any topic, but often with two women the topic is about getting out of a dysfunctional relationship, or tips on "getting a guy", etc. It doesn't sound like it should be a particularly hard test to pass, but many don't. For instance, the movie must have at least 2 female main characters, so Star Wars and Aliens fail.

So (I assume) a C- on the Bechdel Test means that she is just barely passing and avoiding those negative labels. (Side note: This isn't very surprising all things considered. According to Wikipedia, her creator was "an outspoken feminist, polyamorist, and firm believer in the superiority of women." However, at the same time he was a strong believer in BDSM, and when her character debuted she had a weakness to being tied up by men. But, if I am correct, comic book Wonder Woman #63 from 1992 shows her with more than 25 stars on just of the front of her "panties" by the time Stevie only won 14 by that same year. But, as the years went by, they dropped the stars on her "panties" while Stevie never dropped his Grammys making it 25/26 Grammys to 0 stars. Bats are not blind, this is a common misconception. While they have VERY poor eyesight, their eyes do function. Their echolocation is far more accurate and allows them to navigate at flight speeds to catch prey, avoid predators and obstacles, and each other. Their sight is more useful for sensing the changing of light levels in order to detect the times of day when prey is most plentiful.
