This is what Star Wars felt like in the 1980s before the prequels. It fits in perfectly with the feel of the universe in The Empire Strikes Back. I have missed this Star Wars so much for so long it's so beautiful to see again.

I think he has a very ambivalent feeling. First off, he didn't get his objective - Andor (at that time at least). He saw a lot of civilians die in a fight against the Empire. It is direct or indirect his fault even, Aldani made the Empire get even more oppressive, tighten its grip. He knows the reason they took an interest in Ferrix is because they suspect he - as Axis - was involved and Andor might be able to identify him. And he wanted the Empire to be more oppressive, to alienate people, to fuck with them so they rise up. And he got a good damn rebellion started on Ferrix. But now he saw the consequences of his action. We know from his previous "Sacrifice" monologue that he knows that he gave up on decency or kindness - on an intellectual level. But seeing it all erupt in murder and mayhem around him, seeing those innocents die. Yeah, it's not going to stop him, but he still is feeling something. Ferrix represents both the triump of his methods, and its cost.
