@@cnelsonlv99 I saw couple of comments on Reddit defending your take. IT was right. I fought with my brother non-stop over a lot of stupid shit. Never once we did go for the face, neck or any body part that causes serious harm. Usually, you fight to defuse the situation, not to make eachother sleep like that. That's a punch you throw to a complete stranger or someone you really and really hate. Maybe he got a good reason for what he did but acting like this is nothing serious is stupid. My guess is a. He doesn't know how to act in a fight or b. Some serious shit being said by Poole to make him act like that. My guess it wasn't basketball releated.

@@ibrahimguler6177 I get what you're saying... a punch to the face makes it personal. The point is... Poole was making it personal, and if you're going to get personal when you're talking $hit, then you better understand that you crossed a line that opens up a lot of new doors. @@BIG_DRU Green stated that he is/was going through personal issues that he was dealing with the day of the practice. Why would he bring that up other than to use it as a reason (or excuse) for his behavior? Poole and him have lockers next to one another and likely have constant bantering going on between them as both are talkers obviously. Combine all of that with his known issues with managing his anger and it all came together at the wrong time. Poole isn’t a physical threat to Green so there was no deterrent in his mind in provoking a physical confrontation against his better judgement. Do you have an alternative explanation?

I know arguments and fights happen between teammates all the time. But if attacking your teammates with that level of viciousness and violence is normal in NBA locker rooms, then the NBA is a highly toxic work environment. Someone needs to investigate because people are being battered and abused at work. Draymond could have broken that kid’s jaw.

GSW released it. They don't want to pay draymond. And they want the fan base to understand why when they trade him. But this also makes it harder for any team to trade for him. Dray will never get a big contract again.

Stephen Jackson's out here talking about how you shouldn't pick on younger teammates. The entire reason the Spurs cut him was because he was walking around practice mouthing off about how he was better than Kawhi and said he deserved to be starting over Danny Green. This was during Kawhi's second year and Danny's second FULL season. They finally had enough and cut him just before the start of the playoffs. A few months later, Danny set an NBA Finals record for most 3-pointers made.

Saying you’re better than a teammate isn’t the same as picking on them. That is just pride (sometime delusional but still).
@randomtees
@randomtees Жыл бұрын
@@cycleoflife565 The problem is that he was openly talking trash about 2 guys (turns out it was actually Green and Ginobili, not Kawhi). No big deal with Manu, but Green was young, impressionable, and easily rattled. If you know Danny's game, you know how terrible he plays on the road when it's a hostile crowd. So it had the same effect as picking on him. The intent was to make Danny question his talents, which was especially sensitive at the time because he hadn't established himself as a legit starter, he was insanely streaky, he was constantly getting chewed out by Pop (to the point where Pop would sometimes yell at Danny if KAWHI made a mistake), and he'd already been cut by the Spurs once before.

This was planned so that draymond won’t get the max. They want to destroy his legacy and any offer from other teams. I don’t even think they will retire his jersey. People are being extremely dismissive. Right is right, and wrong is wrong. This should not be referred to as a “normal day in the office”. His behavior was unacceptable in this setting no matter how you analyze it. His decision cannot be justified, so his behavior should have serious consequences. He didn’t punch his brother or cousin at a cookout- he assaulted his colleague/teammate within his place of employment. He is very talented, but time and time again he has proven to be disorderly and emotionally unstable.
