So awesome seeing the reactions of everyone driving your truck!

I'm really excited to follow your channel. I'm actually from Louisville and It was really neat seeing your video picking up the Taco so close to home. I picked up my TRD Pro about a month ago and I look forward to watching your videos for more upgrade ideas! Also, your video editing, etc. is fantastic! Keep up the great work!

Loved seeing other people's reactions. I picked mine up 2 days ago after having a 3rd gen for 3 years. A couple of things stood out for me straight away. The size, you feel a lot higher and it's wider with the fender flairs.The power and torque, there's no comparison. With the new transmission there's no hunting for gears anymore. The steering feels a lot more refined. The comfort and tech in the cockpit is worlds apart from the old. The price tag was a large jump for me but personally I think you're seeing a lot of that in what you purchase, it's all there.

Everything you said is my experience also. On the negative side, the longer wheelbase makes this thing feel like it has the turning radius of a blue whale.
@richieontwowheels3 ай бұрын
@@BatistaAdvisory Yes I agree, it has caught me out once or twice. I'll have to compare to the old and see what's so different.

That’s was the best video you could have done to combat the 2024 Taco naysayers!! Well done!!!
@KG-kq9tkАй бұрын
Nobody is claiming the new ones do not drove good. They complain about the price and longevity questions. This video does nothing to combat those worries. The price may stay the same or come down, the economy may get better or not. The real question is the long term reliability. And while I trust Toyota to figure that out more than anyone....that may not be something you CAn figure out with small turbo'd engines that are constantly working hard to give the power they have.

Have mine on order…can’t wait. The waiting sucks!!! Same as yours actually, 5ft bronze oxide with roof rack. Think I have watched your videos so many times to live vicariously until mine arrives. Looking forward to seeing what you do.

@@IndependenceOverland my Trailhunter came in, I took it off road today and that beeping wouldn’t shut off. I couldn’t figure out how to silence it. I’m sure it is something simple but I am at a loss.

How do you feel about the short bed vs. long bed? I am heavily shopping for a Trailhunter and just drove one over the weekend (test drive only), but I can't seem to make up my mind. I'm not doing CRAZY rock crawling, mostly overlanding, but I'd like to have the setup with better breakover angle...... but I also want to be able to use the bed to carry all my gear. I feel like the short bed is too small, and the long bed doesn't turn as sharp + will bottom out easier..... so I'm in a pickle and want an experts opinion. If you can give any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
@IndependenceOverland2 ай бұрын
The short bed has a terrible turning radius as it is. If you aren’t getting too crazy with the truck, the long bed should be fine though. I would personally plan on at least 35” tires to help lift the truck more to help with the break over angle. If the wheelbase on these trucks didn’t grow for this generation, I would have gotten the long bed.

loving my TH. however i am noticing a slight buzzing sensation through the steering wheel at 33mph and again at 66. have you noticed anything similar? maybe just a feature of the new engines?

I am curious about one thing. I know you dinged up your rims because of not having enough meat on the tires. Do you recommend still airing down to the standard PSI, or will a little less help that situation? Maybe a few PSI less? This damn thing costs so much that addressing the wheels won’t happen anytime soon.
@IndependenceOverland2 ай бұрын
I think it will just be an issue honestly man. Maybe just air down to 20 and hope for the best.
