Hanabie and Nemophila are the best discovery of 2021 for me in Japanese music

Hanabie = New Creation Nemophila = Copy Machine
@fightrashovar45783 жыл бұрын
@@Wirmish Oh no way, you aren't correct at all. A copy machine won't improve the blueprints like Nemophila regularly does with their covers; and their own songs are badass, ingenious pieces of original music. There is quite a huge difference between Hanabies and Nemophilas sound respectively, but both are fantastic, and both are on a similar level of musicality to which no other band measures up currently.

The pendulum of relavance in Metal has moved from the western world to Japan. That seems obvious to me. Anybody can listen to whatever they like; but in terms of creativity, skills and genre evolution, Japan is leading. Japan is raising the New Standard Of Heavy Metal. They perform best Metal possible. If anybody wants to compete, they better do not show up with less.

You nailed it. Evil compulsions. A tortured relationship with sweets. "Lovebites on crack"😆 That's good. I think of them as Babymetal and Maximum the Hormone's love child. They actually started off in high school as a Maximum the Hormone cover band. Hanabie (pronounced HAHN-a-bi-ǝ) This group and Nemophila look like THE new metal bands to watch. Members: Vocalist (Harsh, rap)- Yukina Guitarist and Clean vocals - Matsuri Bassist and backing vocals - Hettsu Drums - Sae They just dropped their first EP. Their producer is Gaku Taura, who is a support drummer for Crystal Lake. He has his own studio, Soul Japan. The best AMAI MONO GA TABETAI reaction yet! What’s funny is that in real life, the ladies are extremely low key. “Ha-Na-Bi-Eh” (はなびえ) are Yukina (Vo.), Matsuri (Gu., Vo.), Hettsu (Ba.), Sae (Dr.). Check out all their other videos, especially the Ado cover. And Reiwa Matching Generation is a masterpiece. I would translate the title more accurately , Amai Mono Ga Tabetai, as (I/we) WANT TO EAT SWEET THINGS, emphasizing the DESIRE/CRAVING expressed therein. (My Japanese wife concurs.) Especially when Yukina sings, “tabetai, tabetai, moto tabetai!” (I want to eat, want to eat, want to eat MORE!”

That eems to have been a rather refreshing, almost spiritual, experience. Yes, Hanabie are a sensation, without stint! Very funny, very heavy and very serious at the same time, and so exceptionally skilled and talented ... How dare you to compare Hanabie with Jinjer? Beware of Yukinas demonic ghost! May it spare you! But your expression of Hanabie being like "Lovebites on crack" was epic (as was your entire reaction)! The good news is that you don't need drugs anymore when you hear that puzzling fantastic band!
@morganolsson19933 жыл бұрын
Haha...I was a Jinjer fan, before they turned to only be chaotic noice... 😝 but Hanabie is really more enjoyable than Jinjer ever been! 😁
@takeshibrb74953 жыл бұрын
The difference, in my opinion, is that Hanabie can play a Jinjer song if they want. But Jinjer couldn't play a Hanabie song, even though Tatiana is an excellent singer. But seriously, it's not fair to compare the two bands. Each came from an evolution of completely different musical contexts. I know in some reactions people remember Tatiana because she's the closest reference when they're freaked out by Yukina. They quickly see that they are different things (hopefully).
@morganolsson19933 жыл бұрын
@@takeshibrb7495 People compare the weirdest things. Like everything from Japan, is compared to Babymetal, even though there is not a band in the world that can be compared to them. Yesterday I heard a reactor got a tip..."if you like Jinjer, try Lovebites"...!?? WTF? :D The only thing I compared to here, is Tatiana-Yakuna...and their harsh vocals. The similarities ends here... :)
@fightrashovar45783 жыл бұрын
@@morganolsson1993 @Takeshi Brb - And every japanese song sounds like a "typical anime song" (whatever this might be), in the view of some dudes ... lol. Morgan and Takeshi, I fully agree with you in what you wrote in your comments. The comparison between Yukina and Tatiana (or Hanabie and Jinjer) may be suggesting itself at first, but it is somehow peculiar at the same time, because of all the obvious differences between these musicians/bands. I guess it's most probably the feeling of sensation and awe that seduces first listeners of Hanabie to liken both.
@morganolsson19933 жыл бұрын
@@fightrashovar4578 haha...yes...Babymetal and anime must be connected to it... :P I have never even watched anime, so I dont know what they talk about. Just some episode of Vladlove just now. Had to.. :)

Hanabi : Hana = Flower, Bi = Firel ---> "Flower of Fire" ---> Fireworks Hanabie : Hana = Flower, Bie = Cold/Chill ---> Flower Chill or Chilly Spring Weather Hanabie has also meaning a temperature of “Sake” (Japanese Alcool) when you drink it at 10°C.
@takeshibrb74953 жыл бұрын
It's ok, but many times the kanji have a reading in isolation and a different one when part of a word. So flower - 花 - hana - doesn't change. Fire - 火 - hi (hee) changes to bi (bee) and Cold - 冷え - hie changes to bie.

"none of them like sweets" - you are so right. I have seen the lyrics. They totally hate sweets, they think sugar is poison, and a decadent life style. Nothing you really can see in the movie, except for the end. But look more closely. The main singer (and growler) do not eat a thing. When she is sitting at the table she is shaking her head. And - I have seen the video that shows the making of this video. There she take that scene several time, no time looks like she likes what she see. NOTE - that all songs they write are political, criticizing some life style. The NEET game song is about people that throw away their life in video games, ignoring school and job. But the video is a cool video game. They tend to make songs and videos that are contradictions.

If I remember correctly...the actually song title is spposed to mean something like "sweets over alcohol"..I guess they'd rather be addicted to sweets than alcohol....something like that...so you weren't far off...lol Love this band...
