Shes been working very hard the last year and a half or so. When she was around 15 her voice started to go through a change it got much deeper and she lost a large part of her upper register . So those sitting up there are the other singers, Diana sits with them when others perform. They got only one 9 point, one 8 point, etc. So they are forced to give 2 points to someone, and they wont vote for themselves. She got 7x 9 points, 1x 8 points this round. D, thanks for sharing your reaction. It's quite fair, imo. I listened to Diana voice teacher Alexandra Pismennaya. She said that they try not to overload Diana's vocal cords with very high notes at the moment. Hence, there is a difference between Diana's potential vocal range and her working range. a few details on the show. There are 10 competitors all professional top russian artists, they take turns singing and judge one another. The man that stood up is a world renowned russian opera singer. These are more than her peers, these in some cases are her idols. She was overwhelmed in her typical humble fashion. The show is ongoing, i think they are up to week 5 and last i heard Diana was leading the pack.
