That musical instrument is a Trembita. A unique instrument played in the Ukrainian Carpathians and known as the longest musical instrument in the world.

ONUKA - it's a Ukrainian electro-folk group. So, here you could see a lot of Ukrainian traditional musical instruments, for example: Sopilka - 1:00 Tsymbaly - 1:28 Bandura - 1:35 Trembita - 1:40 Wheeled lyre (hurdy-gurdy) - 3:10 Violin (on Ukrainian - Skrypka) - 3:54 4 string Domra - 3:59 Bugay (Berbenytsa) - 4:35 Kuvytsia - 7:06 Some of them were invented in Ukraine, like a Bugay, Domra, Trembita, Bandura. It was a performance while the voting was going on, not a ranking performance, as Eurovision 2017 was held in Ukraine, as in 2016 our singer Jamala took first place with the song 1944. You have already heard this song from the Ukrainian project "The Voice. Childrens" Thank You, for reaction. Ці музиканти виступали поза конкурсом, просто розважали публіку поки йшло голосування глядачів. Але цей виступ настільки вразив всіх, що багато хто визнавав цей номер найкращим у фіналі.💙💛

Ukraine won Eurovision in 2016 and hosted the competition in 2017. The group "Onuka" represented Ukraine as an invited guest to perform during the break of the competition. The country where the next competition is held is obliged to fill the free time during the counting of votes or other breaks during the event with all kinds of dance and musical performances from representatives of that country. "megamix" is a composition of several popular songs of the group. Instrument with a tail - an ancient Ukrainian musical instrument - bugai (bull) This performance uses many Ukrainian ancient national instruments.

A musical instrument at 4:36 is called "Buhai" it's literally a barrel with a sheep membrane that is stretched with a hole in this skin's center. Through this hole a tuft of horse hair that makes that low horn like sound.

They are big in Ukraine, and they didn't participate, they were invited stars). Long instrument is trembita- traditional Ukrainian, as well as bugai- drum with "tale".

It was just an interval act, they were entertaining the public during the voice counting. As you know in 2016 Jamala won Eurovision, so in 2017 it was held in Ukraine.

Trembita -is the longest instrument in human history))) have fun in discovering all shapes of Ukrainian music😘 btw, thank you for these past years that you promoted Ukraine on all fronts. Thank you. P.S. that crazy instrument with “hair” was used by Ukrainian diaspora in the US which helped r’n’b and rap at the beginning- you cannot base your beats on nothing - you base it on something you hear
