Just amazing that three super talented people were in the same place at the same time. What are the odds? What are the odds that they would like each other, get along and want to do this together years later? Another fun fact....They went to Martin High School in Arlington, Texas, which is known for having very good fine arts programs (choir, band, etc). The Martin High School Acapella Choir opened for them at their Christmas show Thanksgiving weekend 2018.

They are 30+ now and were 17-18 in this video. BUT...they've been singing since they were 10. A couple of them were in the musical "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" in elementary school. Thank you for your reaction. They used this song to try out for "The Sing Off" with Avi and Kevin. There is a live video of that from one of their first concerts after they won "The Sing Off".

Star quality from all of them at the ages of 16-18. I love how you said Mitch was in training on how to slap people. All experienced bullying of some kind, but I think Mitch had the worst of it (still gets a lot of hate now sadly 😥), so I especially love the term 'Mitch Slapped' because it's like he's giving some payback for all the crap he's had to endure ❤

They are a "trigonometry", a perfect triangle! (I asked google lol). As they get younger, I feel older haha. This was such a joy to watch on so many different levels. Seeing Kirstin beatbox was weird, fun, unexpected. Like you said, channeling Kevin (seeing what was to come). This is the first time I have been with one group since the beginning and have watched them grow. It's a ride I never expected and am having a blast. Thanks to you, I am enjoying this ride so much more. You are the driver of a big bus and we are your passengers!!! . Next stop Tommy Johansson hehehe.

This was when they were in high school, a year before the Sing Off. At the time of the Sing Off, Scott and Kirstin were finishing their freshman years at university and Mitch was just graduating from high school.

👉They were in High School and were known as The Trio. (You already reacted to a Trio video of their cover of Katy Perry's Firework remember?) This is actually the video that was shown to Avi about 6months before he was asked about joining them for The Sing Off. So Avi already knew about these "KIDS" as he referred to them (though Avi is only a couple of years older😆) Avi was asked if he would like to sing with them and Avi said "yeah, sure Those kids are really good" ((well something to that effect)). They were SO YOUNG and already so talented 😊 They hit the 20 MILLION subs on KZbin. This video is about 12 years ago They were known as The Trio .... Not a trio This was from their High School choir concert. I have some PTX gems where do you want me to send the links to?

Great reaction! “Look how cute my babies were!” 😂😂 For another “blast from the past”, you should watch Mitch Grassi Kiss the Air 2009. It is when he was 16 and in a talent competition called Teen Follies. The video also includes an original duet with Scott. The whole solo song is gorgeous and emotional, more of a Mitch-melt than a slap. 💜

I'm not sure if this is in the comments or not but Scott just revealed something that shocked even Kevin. He had never heard it. The trio was it even going to do this bc they didn't think it was good enough. They ran into a friend in the hallway of their high school and she said, "Just sing it for me at least." And the rest as they say is history. That friend needs all of our gratitude for sure!!

This was so great. It definitely shows the three of them were already really something special. They just needed the final pieces to be amazing. They announced that they are at 20 million subscribers. I think it was last week. The upcoming date that has me holding my breath is February 5th. That is when the winners of the Grammys are announced. Got my fingers and toes crossed. Tried to cross my eyes but it makes it hard to type. Lol Also, on February 20th is when they get their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Woohoo 🎉🎉🎉 Take care and be safe until I see you again.

Mitch, Scott, Kirstin, and Kevin have all been seen wearing glasses at some point. I do not know if Mitch wears contacts on stage or if he prefers to not be able to see the faces of the audience. In the early Superfruit days, he flunked the eye exam for his driver's test and needed a restricted license (must wear corrective lenses while driving). Nowadays, Kirstin wears huge oversize glasses in her down time. I haven't seen Scott, Mitch, or Kevin wear them recently.
