Saw QAL in 2019 and loved it. Adam has a such a pure voice. Never sounds strained. He had opera training as well and when Queen toured Italy he wanted to sing Nessun Dorma. He sings it beautifully. You should react to that as well. Stunning.

This song always destroys me because it was on Freddie's last album with Queen and it always felt like he was saying goodbye to his fans. He was already dying when he sang it and I cannot listen to it without crying. Only Adam has been able to do this magnificent song justice. It's such a wonderful tribute to the absolute brilliance of Queen's music and song writing.

I do hope you get to experience their show, it is beyond compare. I adored Freddie but Adam is the only singer who can take the role of the lead singer & do it justice without imitating Freddie, thank you again, greetings from Australia.

I was lucky enough to see QAL live twice last fall and it actually took 24 hours to really wrap my brain around what I experienced! Brian's genius, Adam's unbelievable vocal ability to elevate these songs, and the band's confidence in him to honor Freddie but be himself was surreal. You should see vids from the last year or so now that he has gotten comfortable in the songs... 1:33

I couldn't agree more. I only saw them once, but it still blows my mind. I had seen enough previous tour videos over the years that I thought I knew what I was hearing....but NOPE. He took it to another level!! What's funny is one point in the show I turned to my friend & said "I've never heard Adam do that before." A day or so later Brian posted that clip from that Boston show (taken by someone WAY close than me lolol although we had pretty good seats) and he explained how Adam was trying new stuff they talked about, and blowing him away!! I only wish I had made I it to more than one show!!! I'm praying there might be a next time (but if I was betting, maybe the UK, but not sure they're coming back to the States. PLEASE prove me wrong Queen!!)

Subscribed . . I’ve been following Queen for well over 30 years now. I have a thing for the electric guitar and against popular opinion Brian May is my favorite. . I saw Freddie , I’ve seen Adam . . I hate comparisons , and I’m so glad they didn’t put Marc Martel as lead . what I hate most is people saying Adam will never be Freddie ! He doesn’t have to be , he’s just as entertaining. And his vocals are just as good . Freddie would have loved him . . They are as good as each other . . Thank you so much for the reactions ❤ p.s THEY ARE AMAZING LIVE !!

I started watching Adam during covid. His video singing Believe to Cher was incredible and I went down the rabbit hole. I've seen his solo show and a couple of times with Queen and he's the best singer I have seen live in 50 years of going to concerts. I haven't gotten really into many bands or singers over the years. He is one that I can say I became a huge fan of! There's only 1 other person that I have gotten as excited about. He's going to be 15 yrs old this week! He's name is Taj Farrant. He's from Australia but he and his family have moved to the US to further his career. This kid at 10 played onstage with Carlos Santana, Orianthi, Rob Thomas and was supposed to play with Kiss. He practiced with them but because of covid had to fly home. Taj at 14 has had 4 of his original songs go to #1 on the iTunes blues charts. He does sing but I'm going to recommend you watch this video of him playing his favorite song of his favorite artist Gary Moore's Parisienne Walkways. You don't need to react to it. It's just an introduction to Taj who will one day be one of the best guitar players. He is touring across the US. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJfSfGRtq5dpmtksi=UP3bdIYVP7Pe4puu

He is perfect to sing with Queen- Roger and Brian said they knew that Freddie would have loved him! Unfortunately, Freddie was too unwell to ever perform this song live. There is at least one compilation that attempts to make it seem as though Queen (with Freddie) performed this live, but that is simply not the case. Freddie laid down his track, and Brian and Roger took it to the studio to mix and create the version you hear when it’s not done live by Queen + Adam Lambert. You are exactly right in saying Adam does not try to imitate Freddie. Brian and Roger were not going to hire an imitator; they have been clear about that throughout the years. Thank you for your reaction.

Great reaction, thank-you! If you want to enjoy an (even better) version of this song by Adam, check out his 6/13/2016 performance, which I believe was at the Isle of Wight. It was the night after the Pulse Nightclub shooting; Adam was incredibly emotional bc of it, especially when he performed this song. He dedicated it to those who lost their lives that night. Roger stated in a later interview that he’d never heard it performed that well previously, nor since. Adam is beyond amazing.. you should consider listening to his Nessun Dorma - he can do it all!!

I honestly believe he’s the best male vocalist of his generation. In the American Idol finals (which he didn’t win shockingly) he sang with Queen and I thought he’s the only person who could come close to Freddie Mercury so when I found out that he’d been chosen to be their new front man I couldn’t be more excited. I honestly believe he lost because someone outed him right before the finale and the world wasn’t accepting of the LGBTQ community yet.

Ah yes this is another one he said he can't break out every show during a tour. That's why his voice is still so perfect. YES the tongue out is a go-to for these types of songs expecially during a tour or long show. You'll notice slight melody changes and runs to be SURE people know he's singing and not over a backing track or lip synch which he's been accused of because of his skill. Like when he goes up a note on TURNing etc.
