This is what Erik has written in the description of the video. I brought my guitar to the hospital when I was undergoing chemotherapy and started playing this song. It was like my body was singing this to me "I put a spell on you, because you're mine"... It was showing me its power, that I'm nothing without my health. I knew I had to record an acoustic version of this song at some point and here it is, with footage from my time at the hospital. Erik’s video about leaving Skid Row and his recovery from cancer. Weird that google didn't tell you. But yeah, he got leukemia. Thankfully he got a bone marrow transplant that cured it. Just after that he was asked to join Skid Row and as that was like a childhood dream coming true he joined them on tour and did an album with them 2022-2024. But while he was now cancer free he also had no immune system at all so caught every bug which ultimately lead to him leaving Skid Row. Health comes first after all. And like the others say, he explained under the video that this song came to mean a lot when he was under treatment so that's why he included a few clips of his hospital stay.

Erik had Leukemia back in 2021 and had a bone marrow transplant but thankfully he is cancer free now. He joined skidrow in 2022 but left early 2024 since the touring schedule was a lot and his immune system was still recovering from his illness and all related treatments. He explained in the description of this video that while undergoing chemotherapy he started playing this song and it was like his body was telling him that he was nothing without his health. He wanted to record this acoustic version at some point which he did and it had some footage from his time at the hospital.
