Love the breakdown here. I'd like to add that the bridge of this track where he says he would roll up fear and smoke it, repeatedly says "I'm high now" and "life's a bitch pull them panties to the side", he's reflecting how drugs and sex plays a role in how people deal with the stress. Which is also reflecting how addiction, disease, teen pregnancy, parental absenteeism, and crime are often at higher levels in these communities.

"is it wickedness? is it weakness? you decide. are we gonna live, or die?" kendrick literally told us from the very first track, lol
