First verse is from the perspective of Kendrick’s child hood friend who died ( I believe pursuing his brothers killer) the second verse is from the perspective of a prostitute who’s sister kendrick wrote a song about on his section 80 tape after she had been murdered, the third verse is kendrick basically responding to both of them and giving his perspective.

I get goosebumps in both parts, this one and the Dying of Thirst one, Kenny is that good. Also, I know you've done more than enough Lupe videos, but try to react to all his loosies he dropped past 3 years, you'll find gems there. Whale Wit, Sba Lu, Forrest Fires, Diet Poetry freestyle, On Your Left, Carrera Luis Hamillton Jr, Teach a Man to Fish, they're goddamn amazing loosies.
