This is one of the funniest videos you’ve made in ages. So sad it only has 2k views. It was mind-blowing how they guessed Chien was dog! I expect it couldve been an expression to call a dog that came from French in Iran and then passed from Farsi to Brahui?

Good watch. Any one of us trying to pronounce words in a language we aren''t familiar with will always be amusing to those who speak the language. I can barely follow spoken French, better able to handle written French, though I am as slow as molasses with it. Oddly enough, a few years back I was in Luxembourg, and the French I did have surprisingly came back, and better than i remember it being, and I also started picking up more on it when heard spoken.

@masey423 Mine was when I hit college and had to learn the subjunctive in Spanish and French at the same time. There are a couple of differences. In French, "Il est probable" and "il est posible" are two different things. In Spanish, if it's not a sure thing, both subjunctive.

They just said they're coming back. As much as we like them and support them, we have to face the fact that maybe their lives don't allow for the whole family to come far from home for extended periods.
