i found it quite funny how their summary of the first film highlighted the points you would expect men of their respective ages to remember, Babu, being the elder felt most moved by the plot point of the betrayal by the business partner but Raeen felt a stronger feeling towards the specific details of the iron man suit, its really a perfect case point of what interests who based on age.

Iron Man 2 and Thor took place in the MCU during the same time over the course of one week. The Hulk movie took place at the same time as Iron Man, the end credit scene in Hulk where Tony meets General Ross happened just after Tony first met Fury in the end credit scene of Iron Man. The scene of Tony and Fury in Randy's Donuts takes place on the same day Mjolnir arrived on Earth to be followed by Thor going incognito as Dr. Donald Blake. Y'know, for continuity.

Kinda late to this but basically Tony’s dad and Whiplash’s dad (Russian villain forgot his real name) were partners and both together created the arc reactor technology But Whiplash’s dad I think became a russian spy or always was one and Howard Stark (Tony’s dad) told the government and got the villain’s Dad deported. If I remember correctly, Howard was most of the brains while Whiplash’s dad was the engineer/builder, so he could never really recreate it smaller. But his son was able to and became Whiplash Fun fact, the villain in this movie is a combination of two comicbook villains of Iron Man, Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo.

Not always. Sit through all the star wars reactions, not only do they forget most of the names, but it almost seems as if they get their memory wiped between each episode as they miss all the connections, and while raen is constantly looking for earth or calling every planet earth. Babu is always saying "what plane is this, who is this? What is this?"

It would have also given more context for Tony's appearance at the end of Incredible Hulk.

Edit: I was talking about the subtitles that appear in the movie. Remember the Tokyo: Clint vs Yakuza scene in Endgame? They were talking in Japanese, and the movie provided subtitles.

Thor is next and yes they should stick to the release order. Iron Man 3 is not relevant to the MCU story except for Pepper Pots getting a suit which is used in End-Game. Of course they should watch all MCU at least up to End-Game and Spider-Man Far From Home as that one is the epilogue to the Thanos story. The real challenge is blending in the old Spider-Man movies so that it all makes sense by the time Spider Man No Way Home arrives. They should at least watch the Spider-Man movies before Civil War.

Yeah, most of their questions or confusions with the movie is because Iron Man 2...didn't have much going for it as far as the story goes lol. It was a very rushed production that Jon Favreau has openly stated made him step down in directing anything else with Marvel. They wondered if we'd get a follow up to why Ivan was so mad at Tony hahahaha. Oh man. I get it. The villains origin story is not all that well developed. It's a fun movie and they seemed to have enjoyed it as far as that goes.
