Swallow the Sun is great! They have a really extensive catalog, so it’s hard to pick a particular song. As others have already suggested, something from the latest album could be next.

One of my favorite bands of all time. Try something from their latest album, Moonflowers. For me it's one of their best ones yet, and StS have set their standards pretty damn high. I'd recommend the opening track "Moonflowers Bloom in Misery", but since you probably like a video to accompany the song, go with "Enemy".

The guitarist Juha Raivio was the leading member of Trees of Eternity along with Aleah Stanbridge. I remember you reacted to them. Swallow the Sun are at the apex of Doom Metal. “Enemy” off of their latest album would be my next suggestion.

Simply calling Juha their guitarist is kind of doing him a disservice, as he is the composer and lyricist for all their music. From every interview I have seen, he seems to make an entire album in secret and only gets everyone else involved once it's time to get into the studio and record the final version.

Yeah l saw an interview with Mikko that said as much and I’ve brought up that very point elsewhere, but when talking to someone new to the band about something specific it’s easier to keep it simple.
