@@WilliamBurgess-z4g Yeah true. That's kinda the point. All these weak people that think some harsh language just makes you evil complaining about the words he used, but not complaining about the actions those people took making them rightfully deserving of being belittled. Actions speak louder than words, and this scene is the pure definition of that.

Many do not understand that this generation existed. I am talking of the WW2/Korean war era vets. Not all were mean necessarily, but they would not tolerate disrespect and would certainly meet force with force. His character in this movie was even more so on edge as he was depressed at the loss of his wife and the drastic changes in his community. Great movie.

@@BobbaDons They definitely don't know this generation existed because they have so many fewer examples today . He is standing up for what is right against what is wrong . Sure ... he is a miserable old man ... with pathetic examples of children left to carry on his legacy . He is crabby to everybody because they live in the world that took everything his fallen comrades did for granted . He still has the inner instinct to do what is right and protect others when most other people would just ignore it and keep driving . Today they would probably just video it 👀

I'm made of sterner stuff than to worry about what someone may think about me. I'm also a vet, and we all said some racist shit, to everybody. Nobody crumbled over it. You took it and you gave it. He never backed down from a fight and did all that he said, he grew up dirt poor and the oldest son of immigrant parents. The man had enough metal to start his own steel mill.

Anytime my brother and I were at the clubhouse Tiny would happily become our atm, tell a stupid joke or do a trick, get quarters, back to the pin all machine or the deer hunting game. He just wanted kids to have fun, and believe it or not a child's smile really does brighten ones day.

He called the kid an "ofay paddy-ass", which was a combination of VERY old racial slurs. "Ofay" was a term used by slaves and freed blacks to describe white people, usually gays, that liked to engage in interracial relationships. It was mostly used in the Deep South and started showing up in language outside the South in the late 1800's, post Civil War. Historically a "paddy" was a derogatory term for an Irishman, usually used by the English but became popular across Europe and North America during the Napoleonic Wars.

There is a lot of truth to that movie scene, if you were a white boy/man walking through a black neighborhood just to take a short cut to get to where you were going, either home, school or work, a lot of the older people or non gang affiliated people in the neighborhood would be ok seeing you walk through the neighborhood, it’s the younger gang affiliated people that were always the problem, they would ask you why you are there, telling you that you are lost and then proceed to try to jump you, all because you were just walking through the neighborhood and wanted no problems with anyone. It happened to a lot of friends and some family members of mine, they would warn myself and others as kids to never walk through those certain neighborhoods because you might not walk out alive. You didn’t have to be fully white either, you just have to have light skin and be any other ethnicity other than black for them to fully mess with you. Then again they would also hate to see rival gang members who were also black walking around in their neighborhood or anyone black that they have not seen before. Most gangs in the inner cities kinda operate the same way too, if they don’t know who you are and haven’t seen you in their neighborhood before, they will step up to you and question/threaten you.

10 years ago people didn’t call people racist! Now everyone is offended! Everybody has alittle in them. So what! It will never ever change just like it’s always been and always will! Stopping bringing up racist shit and just live and love everyone! Talking about the folks reactions in these videos

Only the first reactor had the balls to show the scene? The rest can fail for all I care. Lets make sure we take care of the real ones.

Why pull out a finger, then a gun? Because he was distracting them, making them focus on one thing while doing another. Smart move when facing 3, possibly armed "gangstas".

100% ok to be a grouchy old racist. My grandma said so. She said things but she was almost 100 and she meant them as a compliment

It’s interesting how the black reactors included the slur spook, but the white reactors didn’t.

Cause that's how racism works. They showcase when it's against them and ignore when Walt does it to his own color of people. Walt isn't racist, he hates everyone equally. The reactors are racist, because they make a bigger deal over one race than the others.

The first time I watched this scene I kept thinking of myself man this shit is gonna go sideways real fast any moment now! Probably just as well but it didn't for those 3 young pups otherwise I could picture that situation getting real ugly real quick And I highly doubt they would be around to complain about it!
