Looking at how they wrote the title of the song , "You make Me", it's like it emphasizes (in the context of the mv) the guy's love for the girl. Like YOU make ME. It's so hard to explain in words but it's like the guy is nothing without the girl, hence the lyrics "if I lose you, there is not tomorrow". It really is a bittersweet song, I felt the emotions in their voices.

I'm actually glad that they leave us such a light/happy album before Sungjin's enlistment, because all the songs feel very hopeful, upbeat and emotional I know it's going to take a while for a new OT5 comeback but I'm already curious with what thet will offer in the future now that The Book of Us series has ended!! And also Even of Day (the sub unit) and Jae as soloist, I hope they release new music this year too

It is so clever that Dowoon’s pickup came in ahead of the vocalists’. Even a split second would make the beat drop sounds momentous. It is tricky for drummers to capture the timing just so. If not it’d feel rushed or draggy.

i've once read a comment in the actual mv's comments section, wherein the footsteps leading to the beach was from the girl's, hence the abrupt pause in the gas station. thereafter, the boy appeared to have lived, but now, the girl had this soft, orange-like glow to her. the driving scene happened shortly, and the mood of their scenes suddenly felt different from before. perhaps, it is believed to be the afterlife, and they're continuing their happy ending there. in addition, sungjin's part, “If I lose you, there is no tomorrow. If I have you, that's all I need.” in the bridge seems to highlight this theory as well.

Just to make things clear cuz things like this can be a bit frustrating for me as a fellow My Day. JYPE promotes DAY6 just as much as it promotes all of its artists. But why aren't they on tv, cable, shows, programs, etc., you may ask. 1. They are super active AND interactive. Check out their Twitter acct and V app account for proof. 2. They have been on shows BUT they made it crystal clear that they want differ from being idols. Moreover, during an interview on their debut, they made it crystal clear that they want to be recognized as artists and not idols. 3. You might have the impression that they must appear on many shows to gain recognition, but they themselves agreed that it would be best if they become known for their talent. So let's just support DAY6 and all other artists because really, the company's doing their job so let's do ours ❤️

@@txpiocapearl i agree, day6 is actually really active but on their own fields, not on the usual idol fields. around 2017-2019 they made SO MANY vlive streams/shows/contents. for now jae has his podcast and then he had twitch too, he used to be VERY active on twitter as well, he has many collabs w artists. young k is working as radio dj of one of the most well known radio program on sk, he also collabs w many ppl too. wonpil doing musical and dowoon getting into variety field is also a big step for them. ofc there's probably lacking things that jype do (i mean if there isnt... nobody would be complaining abt companies for so long). i honestly think day6 is promoted just well. at the end of the day, if we are talking abt being promoted but we focus on how the audience will react or how much they gain, it's up to the audience to put interest in them or no

It seems like everyone has a different idea of the meaning of the story in the MV... which was probably intentional given how open ended and vague it was. My personal favorite theories are either 1) the girl patched his wound, bringing him back from the brink (hence why he's so happy and she's slapping him because "you scared me!" DX. not sure how the footprints in the sand tie into that though... maybe it's symbolic of her meeting him at the edge?) 2) or that the entire story is symbolic of how they feel about each other. The girl gives him strength to push through the things that hurt him, and she's there for him when he can't take it anymore and cracks. The theory that the boy represents Day6 and the girl My Days also sort of fits into this.

the storyline of the video confuses me slightly, not gonna lie, lol 😭 initially how I interpreted it was that the guy in the video didn't die and he was pushing through the pain because he had his girlfriend with him & what not, but then someone pointed out the lone pair of footprints on the beach 👀 so I'm not sure anymore lol but that's okay! as for the song, I think it's really pretty and comforting if that makes sense? it, and the rest of the album honestly, have quite a nostalgic feel to them almost which I really like. as you said DAY6 never disappoint & I'm so glad we were able to have a full group comeback from them!! thank you as always for your reaction PD!

9:25 PD: the video having a happy ending The video: both of them died and the two meeting at the beach is a metaphor for the lovers meeting in heaven The part where the guy died is when he parked at the gas station, you can hear a flat line sound similar to when someone is having a cardiac arrest. Then it proceeds to a blurry imagery of someone's footsteps going straight ahead to the waters, single person's footsteps that seems to be from a boots which apparently the girl is wearing. The end where the lovers meets at the beach is the climax, it symbolizes that they met again in the afterlife. The mv itself is very melancholic, heartbreaking even. The lyrics and the chord progression makes you grip tight to your heart. I literally teared up when i first watched the mv. Day 6 is a genius, and have always been. We are all lucky to have Day 6 in our life time. :')

I think the song itself is very happy and uplifting. However, paired with the music video I think it's bittersweet and a little bit sadder, definitely Day6's style of melodramatic. The shot of the single person's footsteps and the guy being wounded are in question here. For me, I think the music video is through the guy's perspective and he is somehow wounded, how it doesn't really matter, and he is looking back on this memory of the girl he loves and possibly leaves behind. At the gas station, I think his reality is seeping into this dream. The ending words, "every ending is a new beginning" not only concludes the Book series but also the story of the people in the mv. Either way, this song, and album are amazing and just what my days needed.
