TBR making idea: choose a number (roll a d20, have someone choose a number, choose the day of the month, whatever) and then you have to create a tbr where your ratings for the books’ first chapters add to that number in total. Hopefully that makes sense!

Depends on the form/mixers. In the US a shot is typically 1.5 oz if it's in mixed drink, but to shoot one you may get 1 or 1.25 oz of the base liquor in some locations

@elizabeths10522 ай бұрын
I would so be here for this being a concept again. Maybe have Rob pick out a pile of books from a mixture of the tbr shelf and closet? Like maybe he picks out a stack of ten and you narrow it down to three/four again.

Your golf dream made me think of Albatross by Terry Fallis - the premise in that book is that this high school student finds out his body is weirdly perfectly suited to golf so he's kinda suddenly shepherded towards becoming a golf prodigy. I read 172 hours on the moon few years ago when I was already in my 30s. It was my favorite book of the year. The simple writing style did something for me. Usually I enjoy fun sci-fi but the horror element was really surprising. Hearing you talking about the amateur writing makes sense - English is not my first language and nonetheless I flew through the pages. If anyone has recomendations for horror sci-fi which don't feel heavy or long, I would apprechiate that.
