Finding out you ship Rory x Logan and Jackie x Hyde is not what I was expecting, but as a fellow Rory x Logan and Jackie x Hyde girl I am all for it!! Also, maybe another version of this video where you recommend books based of ships from your favorite shows?

OMG? this is crazy because about a week ago I was made aware of this subreddit and what it is and I fully thought to myself “this would make such a cool video idea that I could see Kayla make” and I even briefly thought of suggesting it (but didn’t) 😭 what is this sorcery!!!

It’s a trilogy, but have you read A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness? It has a woman discovering her magic, group dynamics, a mix of creatures (human, vampire, witches, demons), romance, and academia. It has other things on your wish list (and that you like), but I fear they are spoilers. It’s also very atmospheric. It’s a great fall read. Bonus: I love the audiobook narrator Jennifer Ikeda.

for the naturalist one - A Natural History of Dragons: A Memoir by Lady Trent -- by Marie Brennan / it's a fictional memoir about a woman who wants to study dragons, set in a victorian-era world where dragons are known/normal and more of a pest than wondrous to the general population. Think if Jane Austen were writing in the adventure/fantasy (light) genre.

Okay for books that feel like Gilmore girls I highly recommend Savor It by Tarah DeWitt. That has by far been the closest I have found to Gilmore girls, specifically Luke and lorelai vibes. I really enjoyed it and I thought that it was very tender and sweet but still had some emotional moments and didn't feel too cheesy. It also has the small town vibes but set in the Pacific Northwest instead!

I know you’ve done a few videos about blurbs and books blurbed by authors you like; but you could do a little scavenger reading vlog, where you read a book (first one, free pick I guess?) then the next book you read, has to be blurbed by the author you just read from! 🕵🏼🍂

i don’t know why, but i thought of The Monk by MG Lewis for the last image. maybe for midnight mass vibes too?? if you want like a priest being corrupted by dark forces, but not exactly comparable to midnight mass. it’s classic gothic literature and it’s very strange and kind of funny and honestly quite dark, i read it for a gothic lit class and it’s definitely a weird and entertaining read
