unfortunately in plain javascript, you cannot define import statement outside module script so cannot use the functions outside the script scope nor in another file.

you must have copied configuration before creating the database, there is databaseUrl property in the configuration, check your firebase console project settings => firebase app => cdn tab, if its not there manually write it.
