Congratulations on the positive health news! I understand, because I had to stop 2 medicines that were helping my degenerative arthritis. My immune system is too weak and I went into septic shock twice. It is so lovely when someone has a good outcome!❤ Also, I wasn't aware that Jasper Fforde had released a new book. I love his Thursday Next books.

@BookRoast Unfortunately, no. All the meds would have the same problem. I do have a good pain medicine regimen, though. That has helped quite a bit!

Jasper Fforde is one of my favorite authors! Although, Early Riser is actually my least favorite of his books but I’m glad you liked it enough to continue reading more of his books.

I howled when you pulled the Jasper Ffrode (!) as had Just😮‍💨 finished Constant Rabbit 😅 Would really (!!) recommend the Thursday Next series as feel their a bit faster paced, mystery/thriller and tons of literature references.

Spoilers for Cytonic: *** *** *** *** I literally JUST got done reading this audio book, and it was SUCH a rambling mess. Living in Spensa's head after book 1 is just really grating to me, not sure why. And I only found myself shocked and surprised at the Delver reveals toward the end of the book, not even plot, but character related with the Chet character. Book 1 is finding out about the current human condition, Book 2 is learning more about the Superiority and Delvers. The three novellas are all about the slugs, let's be real. And Book 3 is all about Spensa figuring out how to defeat the Delvers. But did it really need to be a book that long?? This "Path of Elders" nonsense was so drawn out and unnecessary, barely justified. The Pirate King competition was pointless. I never even really understood this concept of the Nothing including these floating islands with jungle atmosphere, and you have to jump between them when they collide? And now I'm in Book 4 (no spoilers, I'm only a few chapters in), and living in Spensa's head is still isufferable. So much "I missed so much when I was gone" or "no one understands me" or how she's changed since Book 3 and is not like other girls. I'm continuing on, but ONLY because it's the last book and I just want this series to enddddd!!!
