So glad to see you back! I set a reading goal of 70 books this year and so far have read 7 so I'm 5 books behind and feeling very discouraged. My main problem is that I'm starting books and getting stuck after x amount of pages and then I have a crisis about my reading slump :( I read The Hating Game and loved it (I read it in one night...ordering it on kindle at like 10pm wasn't a great idea). I cannot wait to get my hands on My Not So Perfect Life!

I understand the addiction of My Not So Perfect Life, and it's just so good all the way to the end, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. My must read in March is Night Film. I picked it up several months ago, and then kept picking up other books, and so I never finished it, even though I was really enjoying it. I'm going to give it the time it deserves this month ☺

Oh god same Zoe! I need to finish my re-read of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows but I don't want to be heartbroken again so I'm trying to slow it down but at the same time I want to be done with it so I can concentrate on the 60+ unread books on my tbr pile!

When I was having my Austen obsession a few years ago I moved on to read Georgette Heyer books, they are super fun, somewhat silly, clean regency romance novels with great loveable characters, they were written in the early 1900s..I just love them!

Sense and Sensibility is my favorite Austen! I highly recommend Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf for your book club. The first time I read it, I went back and immediately re-read it, and now read it once a year. Her writing is incredible and makes you see the world differently. Have fun in Rome!!!

I have been in a reading slump for two months now and I need to get myself out of it! I started reading the fourth book in the Outlander series called Drums of Autumn and I got about 200 pages in and then I stopped. Then I picked up the Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory and got about 60 percent done and stopped again. Afterwards, I picked up Jane Eyre and began rereading it and got 25 pages in. So, my goal for this month is just to finish Jane Eyre for the bookclub and finish reading The Other Boleyn girl. After that, I want to finish reading Drums of Autumn and then pick 1 literary classic to read per month plus a nice light fun read to get my Goodreads goal back in shape! For classics: Wuthering Heights Frankenstein Dracula Picture of Dorian Gray Turn of the Screw The Call of Cthulhu The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe Till We Have Faces Lord of the Rings Mary Poppins Murder on the Orient Express Sherlock Holmes The Princess Bride Gone with the Wind

I think Georgette Heyer is one of the greatest romance writers. She has written quite a lot of amazing romances and mysteries and has created the genre of Regency romance. Her books are character-driven with very interesting characters and relationships. They combine thoughtfulness, insight, imagination and wit, and are a delight to read. My favorite romances are "Cotillion", "The Convenient Marriage", "Black Sheep", "Sprig Muslim", "A Civil Contract", "The Toll-Gate", "The Grand Sophy". She is truly a 20th century classic.
